B&B Plitvica Lodge in Plitvice Lakes

Great experience. Highly recommend.

The property was very clean and spacious.. the Bathrooms were modern. We had a balcony with views to the forest. We walked right from the hotel into the National park and walked the Lake and the waterfalls. The service and food was great. We had Breakfast and dinner at the lodge, great wine. We didn't have to get back into the car until we left..Perfect.

Would highly recommend this place to stay as your base for the lakes. Very friendly staff who can’t do enough for you. Nice rooms in attractive chalet style hotel. Lovely cosy traditional restaurant for delicious 3 course evening meal with choice of BBQ mixed meat or local trout or vegetarian, homemade soup and cake. Very short stroll to get into Plitvice national park.

Very calm and restful

The greatest advantage of the lodge is the short five minute walk to Entrance 3. there is also a walk back along the road that provides some superb views of the large waterfall from above. Entrance 3 allows you to avoid the big queues and the crowding at the other entrances. It also provides options - either the exploring the lower falls or taking the boat up to entrance 2 or even walking around the edge of the lake. The lodge itself is perfectly fine. There is a warm welcome and the atmosphere in the evenings is really fun and convivial. The food is very good; the breakfast has a good selection and the evening meals are rustic fare with two (meat or fish) options that were very tasty. The WiFi is flakey and the rooms are serviceable (although they do have a decent sized balcony) It is expensive for what it is. The breakfast is not included, must be paid in cash. Likewise for the evening meals.

We just came across this by chance as we were walking past and the owner encouraged us to come for dinner so we did. We did not retreat it!! WOW is you want a true home cooked and authentic Croatian meal this is a must. The owner’s hospitality is very welcoming and the meal is very generous. It is a set menu of either mixed grill or fish. We had the mixed grill and it was beautiful. The appetiser first was grilled bread, cheese and salami from the local regions was amazing! Dessert was a beautiful cherry cake. Was a great treat and while it might like look like a fancy restaurant it was one of our best meals on our 5 week trip around Europe.

Lovely, clean room and wonderful couple that ran the lodge. Perfect location to walk into the Plitvice Park. They serve a fun dinner outside with fire grilled bread as an appetizer. We liked it so much we stayed a second night!

We have just come back from a lovely short break in Croatia, and stayed at the lakes in Plitvica, which was beautiful. Nearby where we stayed was Plitvica lodge, and the reason for my review is the fact that the owners kept a very large dog, which I think was a Husky - cross in a small cage outside. During our stay the temperature was approx 38 - 40 degrees, and we found it very upsetting to see this lovely dog caged all day long

He goes out of his way to make your stay special His home made schnapps is excellent The wine and food were first class and reasonably priced Overall an excellent experience and we would definitely stay there again
