Lakeside Hotel Plitvice in Plitvice Lakes

Okay, okay, okay.

Great location outside the unadvertised, third park gate. Make sure you have tickets as none are sold at this entrance! Staff were super friendly and super helpful and provided us an itinerary for the two days we were there. Lots of things to do in the hotel. One of our party is vegan and they were catered for there; however, it would be nice to see some vegan options on the menu as the restaurant was superb and the talented chefs could create some tasty options to compliment the rest of the excellent food served. One improvement could be a swimming pool - the hotel has so many other facilities, the only thing it is missing is a pool!!

It was a very satisfying hotel. The location is near Plitvice Lake Park, so it's easy to walk there. The staff were so kind that I felt really good from the moment I checked in. The room condition was clean. It's made of wood, so it doesn't feel modern, but it matches the place perfectly. Fortunately, it was on the first floor, so it was easy to move luggage, but if it's on the second floor, there are stairs, so it might be a little inconvenient.
Also, there's a playground, farm, and outdoor terrace, so you can enjoy yourself at the hotel. There's also a play area where you can play billiards and darts, so it was nice to spend the evening after visiting the lake.
Breakfast was also great.

Lakeside Hotel Plitvice offers a great location with spacious, well-equipped rooms and attention to detail throughout. Guests can enjoy a variety of leisure facilities including table tennis, darts, and billiards, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The hotel also features many cozy corners ideal for quality time, complemented by friendly and helpful staff. What I didn’t like was the restaurant, which felt heavily overpriced for the quality it offered—the menu was limited and the food was just average, clearly relying on the prime location rather than culinary value. Our room included a kitchen, but strangely, it lacked even basic equipment like plates, cutlery, or simple utensils. Breakfast was fair but unremarkable, and while the location is indeed special, the overall experience felt somewhat overpriced. Additionally, we were unexpectedly out of water for some time in the evening as the pressure was completely gone.

Room that we got was very comfortable,very cozy,the first one that we booked was under repairs so upon our check in, a really friendly reception named Anes introduced us to our new room with the hydromassage tub. The staff is doing their best,they will do everything in their power to indulge your wishes. Location of the hotel is so near entrance no.3 of Plitvička jezera national park,so it's really practical to get there on foot (to avoid all the parking mess). This place is magical when it's snowing,so I deeply recomend to go during the snowy times. We were here for 4 days,and 3 nights. The bed is a bit too soft and creaked in the middle,but I guess I'm used to harder matress. Dogs are allowed,so that is a big plus,we brought our pet with us and we were all together,enjoying our time . Two things that I have to criticise,are the hotel restaurant, and the spa area. The prices are too high when it comes to simple math. I mean,breakfast is awesome,but so is every buffet type,all you can eat and lots of food. Staff super super professional,and really pleasant.Also,pets are allowed in the restaurant. We were there for lunch and dinner ,costs a lot and it isn't even near the expected for that amount . In the spa,a lady that works in wellness was really friendly,as all the staff in the complex. But again,the prices are extremely expensive,so we didn't even thought of using the wellnes area.

The staff was very nice and helpful and the food was delicious. My recommendation is to update the rooms and facilities to match the quality of service your employees give. They aren’t bad just old. Lots of dusk and cob webs. But great location for park!

Very out-of-the-way place if you are coming from the main entrances at Plitvice Lakes National Park, although there is a third entrance close to the hotel. Looks and feels more like a lodge than a hotel. The food in the restaurant is excellent!
