Palmonte Suites Hotel in Kyrenia

We visited the spa a year ago and we wanted to visit it again so we decided to stay in the hotel as well. First of all for the spa is the last time because the prices have doubled and more since last year. The hotel room they gave us was next to the pool and as soon as we entered the first thing we noticed were the 100 mosquitoes all over the room and bath. We told the guy who escorted us to our room and he said he would say it to his manager but he never came back. We saw some already killed mosquitoes on the walls (from previous residents) so we took the courage to kill some if we wanted to sleep at night. Other than that, the room is spacious, nicely decorated, with a small fridge, water for welcome, and good pressure spacious shower which I loved. The pool area is beautiful and clean with lovely sun lounges and a dj playing nice tunes but the prices for food and drinks are on the higher side. The nice extra touch was the 15 minute massage they gifted us when we checked in which was by the pool in a special area-cool touch! The staff in general are very polite and try to do their best. The breakfast was good with a good variety but the coffee and hot chocolate are rather disappointing. We did not try lunch or dinner, we went to Royal moon near the hotel which we loved. Overall I would be afraid to stay there again because of the mosquitoes. If I knew that would not be a issue, I would like to stay in the hotel again.

Our stay was ruined by construction work continued for 4 days during our stay and noise was immense due to metal rotary cutter and hammering noise around swimming pool. We requested higher floor and quiet accommodation at the hotel as we were going to spend time with 7 months grand child. No one helped us. Also next door ground digging work added more misery. They should have informed us before welcoming us there. We booked a suite and that was no good as it was duplex, so they gave us ordinary delux room but continued charging for a suite. No companencsation were awarded or offered.

From the moment we arrived at Palmonte, we were utterly enchanted. The hotel is a hidden gem nestled amidst breathtaking scenery. The staff were incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. Our room was spacious, impeccably clean, and boasted stunning views. The luxurious amenities, including the plush robes and high-quality toiletries, added a touch of extra indulgence. The spa was an oasis of tranquility. The treatments were divine, and the therapists were highly skilled and attentive. We also thoroughly enjoyed the pool area, which was beautifully maintained and offered a serene escape from the heat. The food at the hotel restaurant was exceptional. The menu offered a delightful variety of dishes, all expertly prepared and beautifully presented. We particularly enjoyed the fresh, locally sourced ingredients. We cannot recommend Palmonte Hotel & Spa highly enough. It is the perfect destination for a relaxing and rejuvenating getaway.

We are half way through our stay and thought we'd write a review as not many on here which we are surprised about given how good this hotel is. We will be honest and when we arrived (late at night) we didn't seem that impressed and was concerned, however come morning we realised we had been probably overtired had to hasty to judge. The pool is gorgeous, plenty of day beds and sunbeds. If you are a family it is a nice quiet place with a park on site. No evening entertainment or kids club. Pros Room cleaned everyday, the cleaners are lovely and friendly. Quality of Food Room basic but has everything you need and clean. Balcony has a built in lounger (preferred them to have put one on the other side but hey ho) and a table and chairs. Our overlooks pool area. Staff all seem friendly but do wait to be tipped and sometimes your not sure if that is all they are bothered about. Supermarket right next door Cons You have to pay for the Spa €50 minimum Breakfast - would prefer 1 day to have sausage and bacon as options, as very samey samey. Doesn't seem to be much around surrounding area but venturing out this week and will update.

Beautiful hotel very attentive staff very clean we had a great time. Lovely weather so nice to chill out. Great and varied menu in the onsite restaurant nothing is too much trouble. My son asked about the amazing brioche buns made onsite and the owner gave him some to take home fantastic

The atmosphere of the hotel fascinates you from the moment you enter. We would like to thank the hotel owners and staff for helping us have a wonderful holiday from check-in to check-out. It is at a very advantageous location in terms of location. Every detail, from the food, the friendliness of the staff and the design of the hotel to the comfortable rooms, has been carefully thought out. It is a company that answers all our questions with a smile and provides solutions. Thank you for everything.

What a fantastic hotel. Price is very good for what they are offering here. Firstly the staff are lovely and can’t help you enough. Everything from car hire (25 pounds a day) to helping organise a van for me to move some belongings. Plus great service and very polite. The front bar/Resturant serves both Turkish and Continental food and drinks and the quality is great. Turkish breakfast is a must and the coffee……. Is wow. The swimming pool area at back is of a quality much higher than you’d expect for the price. Not far off 5* to be fair. The rooms, whilst simple and not posh are well designed and clean and the duplex rooms we stayed in are perfect if you have kids with a double up the stairs (open plan) and a single and a pull out downstairs. If your thinking about spending money on more expensive ‘luxury’ hotels don’t bother this place is tasteful, helpful and very well staffed.
