Reviews
One detail that really stayed with us was the painting in the lobby where we had breakfast. It completely took our breath away and made our mornings feel extra special. Even small things like the pleasant scent around the hotel added to the overall experience and made the space feel cozy and well cared for.
The location is good – about 5–7 minutes walk to both the old town and the beach/promenade. The rooftop is nice, with a pool and a great view, and the breakfast is good. The staff is very friendly and helpful everywhere in the hotel.
That said, there are many problems. The cleanliness is only “okay”. At first the room looks clean, but if you look closer you will find many dirty and sticky areas. We asked for quiet rooms because we are very sensitive to noise. To be fair, the hotel gave us corner rooms with an extra door, so there is no noise from inside the hotel.
But the rooms face a main road, and the windows do not block noise at all. Traffic noise is very loud all night and makes sleeping really difficult.
The bed is very high, which was a big problem for my father, who uses a wheelchair part-time. Getting in and out of bed was not easy. The hotel design is nothing special and has no feeling of luxury at all. Another very annoying issue is the lighting system – all the switches are “smart” touch switches that work badly, are confusing, and extremely frustrating to use.
Overall, this is an okay hotel with decent facilities, but it is clearly overrated. For this price and for a 4-star hotel, it is disappointing. There are better hotels just next door that cost less and offer a much better stay.
The entire staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. The hotel itself is modern, stylish, and perfectly located. Everything from the room cleanliness to the breakfast service was excellent.
Huge thanks to Sofia and the NYX Limassol team for making our holiday truly enjoyable -- highly recommended! ?
Breakfast is wonderful — thanks to the chefs.
But the service… deserves a solid two out of five.
There’s a light in the corridor of the room that stays on all night.
I asked to fix it — the first staff member came and said it’s “for my safety” and that “it’s the same for everyone.”
I called a friend staying in another room — his light can be turned off 😅
Called the reception again, wrote to customer support — but it seems both are run by bots. They don’t listen, they just reply for the sake of replying.
Two days later, the light was still on. I had to sleep with it.
The funniest part? There’s a blackout button in the room that closes the curtains automatically to block daylight — but you can’t turn off the light inside at night. 🤷♂️
As for the gym — it looks like it was added just to tick a box.
It’s about half the size of the smallest room in the hotel.
Great potential, but with this level of service, it’s hard to see regular guests coming back.
The staff were friendly and professional, always ready to help with a smile. The location is excellent, right by the seafront, making it easy to enjoy both the beach and the city. Breakfast was very good with plenty of options to choose from.
However, I'm rating them 4 instead of 5 stars is that I can hear so much noise. They should have made the room with better soundproofing. Overall, I’d recommend the NYX Hotel Limassol to anyone visiting the area, and I’d be happy to stay again.
