Wellness Hotel Frymburk in Frymburk

Very disappointing service trying to use the spa/pool facilities and when speaking with reception after trying to leave the car park. My wife and I entered the pool area and were immediately stopped because my wife was wearing a modest swimsuit covering her arms and legs. The staff embarrassed my wife in front of other guests and there were no signs which prohibit the use of modest swimwear. In fact, the instruction plaque on entry to the swimming pool says 'swimsuits must conform to the principles of decency'. She wasn't wearing 'daily wear' or anything like that, it's a modest swimsuit. I.e she doesn't excessively show skin unnecessarily. So basically, they're saying that 'decent' means being half naked in a skimp bikini. It's discriminating, I wouldn't recommend staying here. Then, when I tried to leave, I couldn't because of the need to validate the car park ticket. So when I went to the hotel reception (because the spa reception can't validate tickets when paying by card), I was met with hostility and rudeness by the reception staff. Their attitude was dismissive and abrupt, and it all started when they asked 'are you a guest here or not? What do you want?'. In short, they weren't actively trying to help. If you're believe in basic principles of decency or respect, please avoid this place, it just isn't worth it. It's left a sour taste in my mouth about the local professionals and hospitality here.

We have been to this hotel several times, but unfortunately we are witnessing the decline of this facility. Unwilling service, wifi works depending on the wind, outdoor pools were once open all year round, now only from June to September. Breakfasts are still the same for 10 years (just ham, sliced ​​cheese, sausages, beans in tomato sauce and some fruit and vegetables, eggs). Dinners (buffet table) are not very tasty and still the same. Recently the staff does not understand Czech.

Wellness not in good condition, ladies shower not hot water, hair dryers in the cloakroom not functioning. In the sauna area SMOKING CORNER, big shock. If you are expecting relax just be aware you will find it with limit.
Have to admit that swimming line was great and staff really nice. You do feel safe here.

I have a lot of complaints, but the worst by far is that the food was subpar. Especially the dinners. The price, if you don't preorder it, is 480CZK which, for a below average dinner, is ludicrous. I wanted to give 2 stars just for the saunas, which were great, but we weren't let in on the day of our departure. I've been to many wellness hotels and this is the first one that would not allow this. The overall appeal of the hotel is also nothing to write home about. Everything feels uncanny and closed in, even the balconies in the rooms. Do not visit.

Not my style, others may like it. Big thing, lots of people, all adjusted to it. You will soon forget common style and approach. Otherwise good, nice, clean, comfortable. Plus if you like extremely difficult wifi login and relogin and... (year 2015), go ahead.
