Hotel Luis V in Santo Domingo

The staff for breakfast always arrive very late.. serve cold coffee. And lame breakfast with no smile. There is a Jacuzzi in the area, that has not worked for ages. All the guests and staff feed the pigeons and rats run under foot.. The hotel cashier is very friendly and attentive.. but management refuses to listen to him.. when he leaves. They should

The price was $32.22 for 2 days so it was a good deal but the room i got was big but dirty it needed to be swept and moped and bathroom needed to be cleaned.I had to wipe down everything and there was little ants all over the room.And the give you only 1 towel.And for breakfast they gave scrambled eggs and toast with a sunny delight orange juice.But one thing i can say the front desk staff was very nice he even remembered my name and he spoke English and Spanish he attended me very well.

A lot of bad things about this hotel. First off the shower for the first room I saw didn’t have a shower door or curtain so water would get all over the floor when you showered.

Also the hotel didn’t have any hot water at all.

I went to a second room on the 2nd floor and the shower scenario was similar with a small platform to stand in in the corner but water would still get all over the floor. The bathroom light was so dim I had to use my phone flash light to see anything. The provided pillow was nasty and so stained I went to the grocery store to buy a new one.

The last night of my stay I found a cockroach sitting on the shower curtain.

Upon returning from my destinations one night, I saw homeless people sleeping on the entrance platform as well as in the lobby. The teenage boys that were at the front desk were on their phones the whole time like everything was fine with this happening.

Definitely not the best hotel to stay at! The only good part was it was located near a lot of shopping destinations.

Dirty sheets dirty towels dirty bathroom and the quality of the bed was so bad we were basically sleeping on the bed frame. We asked for clean sheets and they accommodated us with another set of dirty sheets. We booked for two nights but could only stand to be there one night. Do not recommend.

The receptionist stole my money out my room when i went out. All Americans don't stay at this place they will steal your things
