Disappointing Experience Due to Poor Customer Service
Unfortunately, my stay at Hodelpa Gran Almirante was very disappointing, primarily due to consistently poor customer service.
From the moment we arrived, the lack of hospitality was noticeable. When I approached the front desk, the representative did not even look up to acknowledge me. Shortly after, we went to the pool area near the bar, where it took the bartender approximately 15 minutes just to say hello. Throughout the hotel, none of the staff members we encountered smiled or offered a greeting, which made the environment feel unwelcoming.
Dinner was another letdown. I ordered a shrimp mofongo, which was served drenched in lemon juice and garlic, completely missing the expected flavor and preparation. My husband ordered a skirt steak, which was so tough he couldn’t even cut it. To make matters worse, our server never checked on us. Each time we needed assistance, we had to get up and actively search for her attention.
Overall, the lack of friendliness, attentiveness, and basic customer care overshadowed the entire experience. Good service is just as important as amenities, and unfortunately, this hotel fell far below expectations in that regard.
