The service at the hotel itself was very good. However, I am lowering my rating because the hotel driver was terrible. I used their driver, paid $20, and went on a tour of Cairo city. The driver only accompanied me to the restaurant, ordered a lot, and I paid 560 EGP for the meal. He took out what we couldn't finish. On top of that, I paid a good tip. I regret not sightseeing on my own.

As a solo female traveler I was well taken care of. I never had to eat breakfast alone and Dr. Mohamed (owner) was very solicitous of all guests needs. He even let me leave my luggage there while I went on a 3 day visit to Siwa Oasis

Mohamed was a good host and good communication and was very helpful. We did not get the apartment that we had reserved, he did put us in a different building. But our rooms did not have a view, which was why I booked it in the first place. In Egypt things are just run alittle different. Always check prices, everyone is trying to get as much money out of you as possible.

It was a quick visit....the hotel was super quite at night... Room was very tidy and clean, good AC... It was a little small, but for a 1 person it was ok. Some devices are missing..such as an iron or so...they told me it is not available. Breakfast was not the best but does the job.... Staff overall are great.... One of the best places I've stayed in recently in Cairo, with an excellent location. The café downstairs is outstanding, offering top-quality drinks and food. However, the reception staff need to be more professional, improve their customer interactions, and show more attentiveness. The room was clean, but there were small ants. Since it was Egypt, I won't be too critical, but if there weren't any ants, it would have been perfect. My 11-year-old daughter and I went on vacation with our family of three. We changed rooms because there was no hot water. The weather was cold, so we stayed warm with the air conditioner's hot air function. The view of the pyramids was the best.

The hotel breakfast was plentiful, with various breads, boiled eggs, cold cuts sausage, and stir-fried sausage. The fried eggplant tasted very similar to the Chinese dish "Di San Xian" (a stir-fry of potatoes, green peppers, and eggplant). I wonder if a Chinese chef taught them how to make it.

I can only say Ctrip is truly something else. I booked a double room, but the hotel gave me a twin room. When I contacted Ctrip, they said there was nothing they could do? Has the Black Diamond membership become so unacceptable to Ctrip now?! The hotel room was too old, and the taxi directions were a bit off. Just look for this building in the Ctrip photos; that's the one.
