Reviews
In fact, it is very easy to find examples on Booking.com where the same name has posted three or four separate reviews giving a perfect score of 10 with no written comments. These patterns are clearly unusual and raise serious questions about the reliability of the ratings.
Despite this, Booking.com does not seem to be taking effective action against such reviews. Because of this, the ratings shown online can be very misleading.
Based on what we experienced and what we discovered afterward, I strongly advise travelers to be extremely cautious. Do not rely only on the Booking.com score when choosing a hotel in this area, and be careful not to be misled by manipulated reviews.
Personally, after this experience, I would avoid staying in this area altogether.
If you are considering booking here, I strongly recommend checking multiple sources of reviews carefully before making a decision.
When I requested a full refund so I could move to another hotel, the owner refused and used tricks to try and extort more money from me. The lack of responsibility and accountability here is appalling. Instead of providing service, they became a massive burden to me as a guest.
The owner is dishonest and has a terrible attitude. I strongly advise everyone to stay away from this place if you don't want to deal with constant problems and stress. You have been warned!
When my friend called the property on my behalf, the hotel stated verbally that if the room were rebooked, a full refund would be provided; otherwise, a partial refund would be given, which we accepted. However, after the reservation date passed, I received no further response from the hotel.
I then contacted Booking.com customer service and was informed that the property had reported that I behaved offensively toward staff during my stay as we as repeatedly complained about the New Year’s fireworks which was impossible as I never checked in. After I raised this issue, Booking.com confirmed that the hotel had reported the wrong guest. Unfortunately, no apology or clarification was provided by the hotel.
Despite this, the hotel refused to approve the cancellation and did not follow their stated no-show policy regarding a partial refund. Booking.com ultimately had to intervene multiple times to resolve the situation.
An excellent location cannot compensate for misleading communication and failure to honor stated policies. The hotel’s actions demonstrated a lack of accountability and sincerity, making it difficult to trust any assurances provided by their staff.
I am happy to share any relevant messages and records if further clarification is needed.
The absolute highlight of the stay was the rooftop terrace. Watching the sunrise and sunset over the Pyramids and the Sphinx from the comfort of the hotel was an experience I’ll never forget. It’s hard to imagine a better view anywhere in Giza. Breakfast on the rooftop was also excellent — fresh, delicious, and served with genuine hospitality.
The rooms were clean, comfortable, and air-conditioned, with everything you’d expect for a relaxing stay. The Wi-Fi worked well in most areas, and the location couldn’t be better — just a short walk to the Giza Plateau entrance.
If I had to mention one downside, it would be a bit of street noise at night, which is quite common in Cairo. However, the overall experience more than made up for it.
Egypt Pyramids Inn offers outstanding value for money and a level of personal attention you won’t find in larger hotels. Whether you’re visiting for a night or a week, this place combines comfort, culture, and one of the best views in the world. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Cairo or Giza!
Air conditioner works well.
Good bedding, showers decent.
Staff are really very nice. (They don’t know English, so google translate will be helpful.
I give it five stars for Giza standards.
The people in the street nearby can be really creepy and they harass the tourists for money, don’t even begin conversation with them even a moment!
My expectations were low but I was very impressed by their assistance and attitude.
For what you pay for definitely worth it.
Cafe and Restaurants near hotel
Some of the staff were nice, but one man (as mentioned in other reviews) was quite deceitful. He wanted us to book tours through him. He told our tour guide we were not at the hotel, so the tour guide had to wait outside and Whatsapp us to let us know what was happening. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else! Same prices for better places in the area.
Two friends and I had a reservation paid three weeks ago for a triple room.
We arrived at the hotel and it turns out that the owner had rented it out😡
We spent the night in two different rooms, in one of them we had to sleep two people in the same bed, which also sank us towards the middle and it was an ordeal trying to rest.
The owner of the hotel, invited us to some souvenirs.
French fries, various soft drinks, chocolate bars and candies.
We asked him a couple of times if they were free and he agreed commenting that it was pure courtesy, a detail for having confused with our reservation.
To our surprise, the next morning he gives us the bill of what we had consumed.
For not entering into conflict we ended up paying him.
The room was clean, not great but acceptable.
The big downside was the excess noise from the street, if we had known we would not have stayed there.
In the bathroom there was a lot of humidity, drops fell continuously from the ceiling, the shower was horrible, the entire floor was flooded and it never dried up.
Two days after leaving the hotel, we had a mishap which prevented us from returning for our things, so the Egyptian police did us the favor of picking them up and taking them to the airport.
To our surprise, we were missing clothes, money and some objects (three pairs of wireless headphones, two vaporizers, a belt, a Diesel brand sweatshirt, some pants, a brand t-shirt, a fanny pack, some money... etc. ...)
We know without a margin of doubt that he was the owner of the hotel, he was responsible for keeping our belongings.
He took advantage of the fact that we did not have time to claim or file a complaint since our flight left right away.
This guy stole and cheated on us, although from the first moment we perceived some bad vibes from him.
I hope that this does not happen to anyone again, of course I do not recommend staying in this place, we are still very indignant, very angry and helpless.
