The hotel breakfast was plentiful, with various breads, boiled eggs, cold cuts sausage, and stir-fried sausage. The fried eggplant tasted very similar to the Chinese dish "Di San Xian" (a stir-fry of potatoes, green peppers, and eggplant). I wonder if a Chinese chef taught them how to make it.

The location was nice. The hotel was average. Cleanliness is a general problem in the country.

I can only say Ctrip is truly something else. I booked a double room, but the hotel gave me a twin room. When I contacted Ctrip, they said there was nothing they could do? Has the Black Diamond membership become so unacceptable to Ctrip now?! The hotel room was too old, and the taxi directions were a bit off. Just look for this building in the Ctrip photos; that's the one.

The hotel is excellent, centrally located, with outstanding security personnel at the entrance. The rooms were clean, the air conditioning was good, the reception staff were helpful, the lighting was excellent, and the cleaning staff and the restaurant, especially the exceptional Fouad and his assistant, were outstanding.

I really liked the hotel. Excellent value for money. The staff is very friendly. The girls at reception are always ready to help. The hotel is clean everywhere; it's immediately obvious they work hard. The restaurant serves excellent freshly squeezed mango juices. The breakfast is good. We will definitely stay here again!

We arrived very very early in morning because of delayed flight but the check in was seamless and room was ready and we managed breakfast.
Cleanliness is excellent for its style and location which we enjoyed very much.
Location is perfect if you want to feel for real non tourist Cairo and all major points of interest are walkable distances.
It’s not the Hilton or Ritz but it is somewhere where you will feel at home.
Due to cultural differences you might want to stock up on tissue rolls and bottles 😅.
Hi recommended and will stay again without any thought.

The staff at Breakfast were especially warm and welcoming at every breakfast and the one dinner we had there, thank you Fouad.

The hotel is in the center of old Cairo, not far from the Egyptian Museum and Tahrir Square, and has a good location. The interior of the hotel is relatively old, and the room is relatively large after the upgrade, but the facilities are old, the sound insulation is not very good, and the breakfast variety is average.

Good hotel, we came back for another night. It’s is not your high end hotel but clean and tidy and the staff can’t do enough for you.
Breakfast is the same everywhere in Egypt, so nothing different there.

It is located near the railway station but is on the edge of the night markets that stretch from there to Bab El Nasr (The old city gate)
