Cairo, Block 19 in front of Katamyia Heights, 5th settlement (15 km from centre) 🧭 Map
The lobby is huge, and the rooms are quite spacious, though the facilities are a bit dated. The Wi-Fi speed is decent and generally meets basic needs. There's a mall about a ten-minute walk away with plenty of dining options.
The room had an access to the pool directly which is nice. Only bad thing was people smoke all over the hotel making it so unpleasant. Everywhere in the world, people are not allowed to smoke inside hotels.
So clearly not for people who have wheezing or asthma. Management should seriously look into this. Other than that all staff were very nice. Ashraqqat and also bfast staff are all very nice....
The hotel is ok, but a bit expensive for an average hotel. Would probably choose other hotel with a better location next time.
Very nice experience and a very comfortable hotel!

Excellent stay with outstanding services, but to pay for car parking while you are a guest for 6 days , it is really very confusing. However, I recommend to stay in such place, but try to find another place to park your car overnight.
The staff were excellent, very welcoming and genuinely customer focused. We were greeted by Mr Ahmed at the reception, who was exceptionally polite, kind and professional. He took the time to explain everything clearly, ensured we were comfortable, and patiently answered all our questions, which made the overall experience very pleasant and reassuring.
Had a wonderful stay there for a week for a wedding. Location is great (near airport and close proximity to different popular areas in Cairo). Mr Hany Khalaf was very helpful and courteous and the hotel staff were all very professional. Also great service at the buffet restaurant and particular from Mr Tamer who was very helpful, especially when we were at the restaurant with our child and baby. Great...
Amazing stay. The Renaissance team works around the clock to make every guest feel comfortable and truly looked after. I also want to acknowledge a few people who genuinely made a difference during my stay—Tamer, Mariam at the buffet, Peter and Ahmed from housekeeping/room service, Mina and Mr. Mohamed Abdelkhalek at the front office, as well as Habiba and Amgad. Their warmth and professionalism really...
A perfect stay, highly recommended! On the first night, we had a problem with the toilet flush—it was broken and the toilet kept running. Even though it was evening, the reception immediately sent a technician who fixed it, so great service. And the breakfast was absolutely perfect—an incredible selection.

Great stay overall. Special thanks to Yousef Abdelrahman for the exceptional service and attention to detail. Their professionalism made the experience even better.
"Excellent service and the security here is top-notch; I felt very safe throughout my stay. However, the cleanliness in the rooms could be improved. With better hygiene standards, this would be a perfect 5-star experience." Meena magdy
Amazing experience! The service was excellent, very friendly and professional. The amenities were well-maintained, and everything was clean and comfortable. I really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and how helpful the staff were. Highly recommended for solo travellers or anyone looking for a relaxing stay
I stayed here recently for a work trip and had a fantastic experience. The location is excellent, and the room was exactly what I needed—calm and cozy. The breakfast was perfect for starting the day, and the crew was incredibly helpful and accommodating. Highly recommended
The hotel has an excellent location next to City Stars Mall and very close to the airport. The rooms are clean and spacious, and the bed is comfortable. The service is excellent, and the staff are courteous and helpful - especially Mr. Youssef Moataz-. The breakfast is varied and delicious. Facilities like the pool and spa provided a relaxing and luxurious stay.

Great hotel and good location near to downtown and restaurants
This is a 5-star hotel in the old city. Getting a taxi can involve a wait, and crossing the bridge often means traffic jams, which can be an issue if you have a lot of work in New Cairo. The surrounding area has a lively, local feel, making it more suitable for tourists heading to Giza. The breakfast was decent, and I really liked the gym. The hotel has a lot of rooms, and while the facilities aren...
Nice hotel with excellent services and the food is excellent. Very friendly staff. Only thing about the hotel is it’s location other than that recommended
The hotel feels very safe, and the security measures are reassuring, which I appreciated. However, the property is quite old and would benefit from renovation. Some of the cups and bed linens were not very clean, which was disappointing. In addition, the check-in process took much longer than expected.
Overall, it’s acceptable if safety is your top priority, but there is room for improvement in cleanliness...
It is really an excellent hotel, in a quite area. Rooms are very clean, the food is excellent, with an abundant breakfast buffet, and the staff always perfect. Everytime I travel to Cairo, I enjoy staying in Safir hotel, it's an important part of my experience in Cairo.
Location is ok, good options for food or shopping. Staff was very helpful. Breakfast is really great. Bit of a downside that the wellness area (sauna, steam and hottub) is divided to male and female section (which was a bit unexpected for us). Gym is really well equipped.

The location is quite good, right next to the old Egyptian Museum, which you can see from the terrace. We were a family of three, and the hotel proactively added an extra bed for us. However, overall, the service felt a bit lackluster. To attract more high-end Chinese tourists, the quality of services needs to be improved.
This is for sure a 5+ ⭐ hotel, everything in here was amazing. Hotel room big, clean and confortable, with a spacious bathroom. The hotel in general had a beautiful and fine decoration. Restorant are delicious, the one that had local food ia delicious, and ia the same were the breakfast is served, also delicious with plenty of optiona, international and local ones. What amazing service Very Pleased and satisfied
The room was very good, just like in the photos. The bathroom amenities were excellent, but there was an unpleasant warning: if taken, each item would be charged $60. The hairdryer was bad. Breakfast was fantastic. Overall, a very good hotel. I recommend it.
The service was incredibly professional and warm, making my stay truly enjoyable. The entire hotel left a fantastic impression on me, and the breakfast spread was excellent.
The room facilities are a bit old but clean and well-maintained. The mattress isn't great. Breakfast is pretty good for Egypt, and the service is excellent. However, I wouldn't recommend booking a Nile view room because the Nile cruise music plays all night until dawn.

The room is quite spacious, open scenery because looking at the swimming pool, the food is OK cheap price, as for the cleaning service is average, irregular cleaning, overall feels acceptable
The service is very good, the hotel is large and has an outdoor swimming pool
The service is average, the breakfast is OK, the cleanliness is just so-so, the room is really not soundproof at all, I can hear everything the other side says clearly, the toilet in the next room is broken again, among so many hotels, this one is really a bad experience
Safe, better than B&B, suitable for business travel. The entire park has a football field, basketball court, and outdoor swimming pool.

Everything was great – excellent service and a beautiful hotel, easily one of the best in Cairo. The only issue was the room was too cold; the AC only blew cold air, making it chillier and chillier, especially on a cool day.
I had an amazing stay at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and professional. This was the best hotel on my Egypt trip. However, it's still a far cry from luxury five-star hotels back home. The breakfast wasn't great; there was very little variety. Perhaps due to cultural differences, you have to order drinks from the waitstaff, which was a bit inconvenient. The funniest thing is that the person at the front desk here had the best English of anyone I met during my entire Egypt...
This hotel is about 2-3 kilometers from the airport, which is super convenient. It's a very classic and comfortable place, perfect for business trips.
Although a bit dated, this is probably the pinnacle of old money style in Egypt.
Great breakfast, close to the airport, and there's an older Hilton right next door.

Great location, lovely pool and food.
I’ve been to Cairo five times, and every single visit brings me back to the Kempinski Nile Hotel. It’s simply unmatched. The service is exceptional, warm, and attentive in a way that always feels genuine. The property is beautiful, secure, and incredibly comfortable - easily the most relaxing place to stay in the city. I always leave feeling cared for, rested, and looking forward to returning.
I had dinner at osmanly restaurant. They had 2 options of a set menu. Lamb or chicken.
The starters were ok, then the lentil soup was kind of acceptable but definitely could be better.
The main course was bad. I didn't like the slow cooked lamb or the sorr of risotto that was served under it. It didn't taste good at all.
The desert was ice cream with a sort of Turkish pudding.
The ice-cream was too...
The location of this hotel is perfect, right on the Nile. The balcony view is spectacular. Unlike other high-end hotels in Cairo, this one lacks the feeling of being in a "secure compound", while still being extremely secure. Perhaps because it is surrounded by Embassies, it feel as secure or more secure than the "fenced" hotels. Security even kept track of every Uber or other vehicle we left or...

The environment is nice, but it's very close to the event venue, so it can be very noisy late at night if there's a wedding, making it difficult to fall asleep. Other than that, the facilities and services are very good. It's best to check event availability before booking.

Old hotel. The only reason I gave it 5 points is that I stayed in four hotels in Egypt. The handsome receptionist at this hotel was the first one who saw that I was Chinese and used translation software to talk to me in Chinese.

In October 2025, we spent two nights at the Steigenberger Pyramids Cairo. The room was comfortable and looked out over the pyramids and the new Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM). The downside? It also looked out on the highway so was fairly noisy. But, hey we were jet lagged, so that did not pose too much of a problem. The breakfast buffet had just about anything one could desire, including cold hibiscus...
Started off badly but ended on a very good and happy note. We were allocated two cottages in a area where a lot of renovation work was going on. There was a lot of noise and dust as well. We asked the front desk for a change of rooms and the same was done immediately and the new rooms we got were excellent. The room was spacious and clean and the bathroom was neat. Being close to the major attractions...
Hotel is situated beside a very busy road, although noise not a issue from our bungalow. Impossible to cross the road on foot to visit the fantastic Grand Egyptian Museum opposite, but we found Uber worked very well for all trips & excellent value. The hotel bungalows are very tired but kept very clean by the housekeeping staff. There is a refurb in progress, which didn't cause us any problems. ...
The location is ideal, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. However, the bungalows are showing their age. The hotel has started renovating them, and they will be very nice. I'm sure the hotel will be much nicer once the renovation is finished. I can definitely recommend the hotel.
Hi, my sister and I really enjoyed stay the hotel. The staff is very nice, if you don't know, they will advise you. The food was delicious. Very close to the pyramids and the GEM. Good buffet breakfast. Rooms are large and cleanliness is adequate. We stayed in the room with pyramid view and the view is really amazing! Apart from that, it is far from the city center, so if you are coming here only for the pyramids, stay in the center of Cairo if you are going to visit the city.

Great service. Location is good. If the food coat in the mole were open, it would be more great, but it was not their faultult
The facilities in the hotel are very poor
my mistake for not reading more reviews before booking. like most reviewed, it's a dated hotel beside an abandoned mall. loud music everyday from morning till wee morning, not for sound sensitive sleeper. cleanliness is questionable, the 2 drinking cups were dirty - 1 with hair, 1 with very visible stain. the staffs were the only commendable ones, with expectable service and friendliness, nothing beyond
The staff were friendly and accommodating, the room was big and quiet, but the hygiene standards were far way from five star hotels. The bed linens smelled bad had stains and body hair on them. Apparently they were not removed and replaced between guests.
The hotel is near the airport and we can get to the airport in early morning as we had an early flight. We had a welcoming drinks when we arrived and it was very good. I was upgraded to a suite this time, which is definitely a plus. The hotel's main draw is its safety and expansive grounds; the gardens on a hillside are a rare green oasis in Cairo's often dusty environment. The environment here is absolutely fantastic! It's rare to find so many green trees in a desert country. 👍 It's also very close to the airport. Beautiful hotel with the best pyramids view. We totally enjoyed the wholesome breakfast right by the side of pyramids.
Unforgettable poolside dining experience with amazing view of pyramids. Highly recommend for the first visit to Egypt. Staffs are quite friendly. They even helped us to fix our broken luggage case.
Mina house is the place to stay! It’s such an iconic hotel. Exclusive access to the pyramids and the friendliest staff. The hotel is on the older side but is still very charming.
I visited during a holiday, so the hotel price was a bit on the higher side. However, the environment is absolutely beautiful; you can see the pyramids right from your window.
