Reviews
First of all, the location and the climate were perfect (we visited in October). The sea and the coral reef were amazing. I even had the chance to see a turtle!
Another highlight was the animation team. I took part in many activities such as yoga, games, volleyball, aqua gym, and stretching, all organized by the two animation teams: the Italian one and the international one. The animators were incredibly motivated, kind, and funny.
On the other hand, as many others have already mentioned, the structure is a bit old and could definitely use some renovation. The service was quite good, but the food and kitchen skills could certainly be improved.
I also want to point out that the local people were very funny and friendly, though you might need a bit of time to get used to their sense of humor.
Day by day, you start to feel more connected with the restort and its surroundings. I would recommend this resort to everyone, as it seemed that both familys with children and seniors were very relaxed and happy there.
The hotel itself is a bit outdated, but we spend most of the time at the beach. Food is very good, most delicious was local food- kofta, hummus…. Service at restaurant was ok, to European eyes sort of disorganized. Coffe machine made horrible coffe, soda bar missed 2 out of 6 flavours.
Beach bar was as usual, cheap alcohol and cheap juices. The bartender was kind. Beach snack were usually just seeet pastry or some bread.
Beach service (towels and cleaning) made me feel unsafe because they have some sexist notes to my body. It was disgusting.
Beach itself was small and nice, snorcheling experience was top❤️
Room service was kind, but cleaned only if there were money on the bed (we didn’t leave money three times and three times no service)
Horrible experiences was “pizza dinner”. Since we didn’t bring small piece of paper with our scheduled time (there were about three families and they had our room Numbers), eventhou I rushed to the paper immediately, bartender behavior was horrible and rude. There is just 5 pizzas on menu, nothing else and the product has nothing to do with pizza anyway. We don’t eat that and left for bufet dinner, where you can always find lot of good stuff. I personally think this “pizza dinner” useless and doesnt worth a minute of your time. Just go to buffet dinner.
Spa service was average. I got three massages, 60 minutes each (sell as 60) minutes, it wasn’t ever 60 minutes, unless you asked specifically. The spa staff looked to their phones through massaging. Quality was up and down. One massage great, one average, one below average.
All and all good vacation with just mild issues
The food was very repetitive and lacked variety, and the alcohol served was of such poor quality that it was undrinkable.
Our room was not cleaned at all during our stay – simply flipping the bed sheets over or giving us dirty towels does not count as proper housekeeping.
Additionally, there was daily renovation work happening on our corridor, which we were not informed about upon check-in. The noise and disruption made the stay even more unpleasant.
Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place and would not return.
In the restaurant, waiters reserve tables for those who tip them and ignore everyone else. You’ll be waiting the whole lunch for your wine unless you slip the waiters a couple of euros. Wi-Fi, which costs €14 per week, is valid for only one device. That means you need to buy as many access codes as you have phones or laptops.
The water pressure during peak hours before lunch and dinner is practically zero, so from 12:00 to 13:00 and from 18:00 to 19:00 it’s pointless to even try to take a shower. And the worst part – I had diarrhea all week from the local food. As soon as I came back home, it stopped by the second day. Keep that in mind if you have a sensitive stomach.
If it weren’t for the beautiful house reef, snorkeling, and diving, the vacation would have been completely ruined. I can also point out the decent animation team – you can tell they do their best with limited resources.
One star for the sea and reef, one star for the animation. Everything else is garbage.
Food: Good and tasty. Every day there was something to choose from. Staff very friendly.
Animators only in Italian. And a predominantly Italian clientele. This fact may be a bit disturbing for you. Since the majority of Italians do not know how to rest in silence. The rest of us also need to know where they were, what they ate and where they are going....
Sea: access to the sea via the pier. At the pier, corals and wonderful underwater life.
The sea right by the beach in the afternoon very warm to hot. Refreshment possible only behind the jetty in deeper water.
Restaurants food is very good.
Room was very clean and all of rooms having sea view.
Fair daily program i would say.
Kids friendly including special pool and programs.
Great location for diving for me.
Two diving centres around, one in the hotel (VivaSub), other on the other side of the road (3will).
3will centre highly recommended.
Super nice beduin tent with fantastic coffee and shisha.
