Hostels in Tallinn

I had a great time, I was on my Erasmus here in 2024 January to April. They were very kind and accommodated my room changing request and my early check out. I love how Estonians have a human first mentality, truly great people.

Perfect place If you need a roof for a few days or even a week.

The hostel provides basic accommodation which is clean and comfortable and a short bus / trolley bus ride from the city. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Kitchen came with basic equipment (2 cooking rings, fridge/ freezer ) pans cutlery and crockery. Good location, near to Uni and good connections for public transport. But no washing machine, oven, even a drying rack available, also no room for the community. Spent one Erasmus semester here, still could recommend it.

Great place to stay if you're a student. Cheap prices for long stays. Each apartment has 2 rooms (with 2 beds each, although you can rent the whole room for yourself by paying double the price), a kitchen, table, toilet and shower. Beware that this is a student residence so there will be noise at night (parties).

A very clean, cosy and friendly place to stay. Our room for 2 was quite spacious, warm and comfortable. A wardrobe, TV and 2 tables with lamps. Pluses: -Atmosphere. Has its positives and negatives. For positives, it would definitely be a crazy mixture of cultures. Ukrainians, Englishmen, Asians, Estonians, Russians... I stayed in a four bed female only dorm, and had a great experience! A part of my positive experience may stem from staying in a room with all solo-travelling girls around the same age as me. Service wise I was mostly helped by an older man, who was always nice/helpful. The location is fantastic (minus the fact that there’s a bar downstairs that is super loud, definitely bring ear plugs). It's at the heart of the city. The facilities are just what you would expect from a hostel, but they also provide free towels and code lockers so you don't need to have your own padlock. The rooms are quite spacious. The staff doesn't speak English well, but I found them very helpful

This place is not for everyone. If you are scared of Russian language, this is not for you. If you are a needy person that requires parties and staff Interaction, this place is not for you. The dorm and bathroom were both spotlessly clean. I didn't use the kitchen but it looked clean. Fantastic location, super close to the central square. No shortage of cafes and bars nearby (Hell-O bar, next door, was a friendly gay bar, playing camp 80s hits 🪩🕺🏻) Communication was very poor. I left a travel blanket there. They didn't reply to an email or a WhatsApp message (their preferred modes)....

This place is also called Reval hostel and hostel4you. Clean rooms, well equipped kitchen. If you have any issues finding it just search STADI karaoke bar and it's the door just to the left of the karaoke bar entrance. There should be a sign on the door and a buzzer on the wall. Excellent location and good prices, but that´s all. Everything else is bad, mainly the showers, there was no differentiation between male and female bathrooms. No breakfast and almost no space to eat, at least there is a market nearby. Small rooms. Only good to sleep and don´t spend too much in accomodation, therefore be ready to not have a fuss about the prolems.

Cheap hostel close to the center. Night was quite OK. Showers were little bit dirty. Free wifi. Only 2 car parking places - 10€/night/car

It is an OK hostel but very well situated. The price is quite attractive for its 5 minute walking distance to the historical part of Tallin. The beds are probably the worst part of the expedience but at least the bed linen is included in the price of the room.

We (1 adult + 2 children) spent 6 nights in yellow house. Our appartmant No. 5 was after the renovation with two bedrooms, nice bathroom, equiped kitchen, clean and not so noisy. Once we managed to walk from the city center but usually used tramway or bus. Fourth bus station from the airport.

A bit grubby. Several unfriendly permanents. Kitchen utensils area sparse for a hostel.

Very good value for what you pay. A bit shabby around the edges but bed was clean. It's not the Radisson but it aint half bad.
