Hotel Napoleon in Menton

This is one of the best modern hotels we've stayed in. Interesting decor, helpful staff and good soundproofing. The rooms are a generous size: worth getting one with a sea view and a balcony. The location is good for a stroll into the centre of Menton and there are several local restaurants and cafes near the Marina.

Friendly well situated hotel - close to restaurants- not so close to shops.
Room was comfortable - bed a little hard for me.
Very clean on arrival and that was maintained throughout our stay!

The hotel was comfortable in a really beautiful location, near a station, on the sea front, a short walk from town and near the park. It had a pool and bar, staff were friendly and helpful and the Napoleon served a good French breakfast. I would choose this hotel again.

Helpful staff. Beach and pool towels provided. Easy walk to the town and the beach is just across the road. Plenty of places to eat nearby and in the town. Train station a short walk away for other coastal towns.

Fabulous stay in Menton
Hotel was perfect. Great location. Comfortable room. Great breakfast.
Very relaxing. Very helpful staff - reception and hospitality team.
Only downside - although great to have a pool it’s small and there aren’t a lot of loungers - annoyingly (which I didn’t expect) beds were reserved in the morning with towels and left unoccupied for a good few hours.
The food was also really nice and good value

Great service and amazing balconies overlooking the marina and the ocean. Perfect location near many shops restaurants and even the train.

Menton trip
Nice hotel, well located in Menton, with helpful and pleasant staff. Good location, about 10/15 minutes walk to the centre of the town and very close to the beach, restaurants etc.

We recently stayed for 11 nights at Hotel Napolean. Our room was average in size, but very well designed. It included a balcony facing the sea. The staff was extremely helpful, and the buffet breakfast (cold items only) was wonderful and reasonably priced. It includes many healthy items. The hotel is about a pleasant 10 minute walk from the old town. The hotel is decorated with interesting art.

Some things to keep in mind: (1) While the soundproofing is quite good, heavy traffic (especially motorcycles) will still be audible from the road between the hotel and the water. (2) The very small parking lot is very awkward to back out of, and requires backing onto the busy road. There is a public parking lot at the beach across the road that appears to be safe for overnight parking, and is free except between July and September. (3) The gym is not kept up well, and was not air conditioned (at least while we were there). In spite of these considerations, this is likely the best hotel in Menton, and we would stay here again.

Nice, modern hotel near Menton’s nicest beach. The staff was helpful and accommodating. The room was comfortable and clean. Easy street parking for 15 Euros per week. We’d stay again if we ever go back to Menton.
