La Dolce Vita Hotel in Menton

The hotel is terrible, everything was fine on the first day, but on the second, when we returned from a walk, there was water leaking from the roof in the room. Of course, they moved us, but when we moved, they made us wait 3 hours, although they just needed to put up a third bed (there were 3 of us). They said that they had to wait for some people for 3 hours. And even when we moved to the new In the new room, there was nothing in the minibar. It was empty. No drinks, no food. The receptionists spoke English, only a little. And regarding the flooding in the room, they said that this happens every month.

During our two-night stay, the room was inadequately cleaned. The waste bin in the bathroom had not been emptied, and the bag had not been replaced since a previous guest's stay.

Secondly, the room was full of mosquitoes which was very uncomfortable and unpleasant.

Additionally, we had no control over the air condition, as the receptionist informed us it was controlled by them, making the room uncomfortably cold at night.

Overall, the experience was not worth the high amount we paid and I wouldn't recommend this place for accommodation unless the above issues are properly addressed.

We paid €150 for a room with sea view. In the photo you can see the view from our room. Therefor I would advise not to take room 209. There is a tree that is blocking the view and you have the disadvantage of a road with a lot of traffic day and night. I would certainly go for the cheaper hill view rooms.

We had a birthday party in Menton last weekend. Our friends came from all over Europe. We always recommend Hotel Napoleon for all our guests, but due to the size of the party, all could not fit in there. So we took a risk and told them to stay at Hotel La Dole Vita, which is right next door from Hotel Napoleon and was very conveniently located. At the check-in they could not find any reservations, and after customers fifth request to search again, they finally found them. Locks at the roomdoors were broken and the check-in took almost 2 hours. Also the older man at the reseption refused to speak english?!? The same man was very rude at the breakfast, and in all occations where staff was needed. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone, there are SEVERAL better ones in Menton. Should they welcome and serve only italian-speaking customers, they should say so at their website. All and all very unprofessional and poor.
