Spent a great couple of days at this hotel, the room was lovely with a beautiful view from the window and a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was incredible, lots of choices of food and dinner was great too with some fun music entertainment on some of the nights. There is a ski hire shop next door and it’s only a short walk to Mattaret centre where there are several shops and restaurants. It’s also on the slope which made getting out in the morning very simple. The whole stay was easily managed and all the staff were so friendly, helpful and efficient throughout!

Another fantastic stay at the hotel, second visit this season it’s nice seeing the same people year after year, Katie the manager has a brilliant attentive crew looking after your every need. You can’t beat the location ski in ski out. You will need to let a notch out on your belt with all the great food and drink. And don’t forget to relax in the Spa and hot tub. Already booked my next trips.

We have returned from another great stay at Hotel Mottaret. This was our third year and as always the manager Katie, assisted by Elois, along the whole team did the hotel proud. The young staff are without exception, friendly and professional and are what make us want to return every year. The hotel is well appointed, ski in-ski out onto a green slope, close to the ski lift and the village. We stayed on an all-inclusive basis, in a prestige room which was comfortable, warm and spotlessly clean. The food in the restaurant is excellent, served buffet style, with a great selection, beautifully presented and the lounge and bar is a lovely place to relax. Absolutely recommended this hotel.

We had a great time at this hotel and would definitely like to return. The hotel was very comfortable and welcoming, with a great atmosphere in the public areas. The staff were very professional and efficient and friendly. We found the food to be excellent. We don't eat meat, but there was plenty of choice for us. The location is also great, and we could ski in/out. The spa facility's were very nice also.

Once again Hotel Le Mottaret was brilliant. The staff are incredibly welcoming and efficient. The food outstanding. We have booked for two more trips, having already stayed here four times. For the budget this is exceptional, with ski in- ski out - great hospitality, comfortable rooms and easy and secure ski / boot rooms. Hire your equipment from next door, park easily and relax in front of the fire. The layout of the bar and restaurant makes it inevitable you will make friends as the clientele are mainly civilised and engaging. It's difficult to find anywhere in a high end resort for such value and joy!

We booked a 5-night stay at this hotel for a family trip with our 18 and 20-year-old sons and had a great time! At first, honestly we were a bit skeptical of the place. As reviews mention, we found it could use an overall renovation, rooms felt small and dated. However, as we spent more time at the hotel, we enjoyed it more and more. It's the kind of place that grows on you. Start with a can't beat location very close to the main gondolas. Staff is nice and helpful, lively bar at the reception, outdoor jacuzzi and spa area. Rooms although small, fit all of our stuff, had comfortable beds and beautiful slope views. We only did breakfast, and the buffet was very good with plenty of options. The hotel is close to the main Meribel Mottarett area with restaurants and a few shops and there is easy access to the shuttle for the Meribel Centre. Yes, we still think this property could use some renovation but our family ended up having a very fun time and would stay there again.

Excellent location. Excellent value for money. The best 2 bartenders in the world (shoutout to George and Freddie for the exceptional service and sharing yoir drink making artistry!). Nice to be able to book a private 30 min hot tub (would be great if it was a touch hotter and a little less bubbly!) the themed dinner nights were excellent and the food very good. We opted for the half board which was excellent value (even considering we opted for one night out at Les Coursives in Meribel village which was the best French food I’ve ever tasted!).
Suggest a kettle in the dining room for those of us who like scalding hot tea :)
The rooms were big and the beds comfy. Our room had carpet which I personally hate. The lounge was kitschy and cool and had just the right feel before and apres ski. Loved the combo of old charm and low tech with all you need for a delightful stay and this quirky spot. Would definitely come back.

Great hotel, friendly staff, convenient location. If you are looking for a central location in the heart of the 3 valleys this is an ideal hotel, I would recommend the all inclusive option. We have been coming for several years and have already rebooked for 2026

Heads up, we are here now, and I'll be writing a daily. Day 1: Really not impressed, firstly, we booked this hotel 11 months ago, then a few months ago they tried to cancel our booking, thankfully they relented, so we were able to stay in the same hotel as our friends, who are on their 60th ski trip with Inghams. The main thing I'm not happy about, is the fact we've been placed in a room on the ground floor, just behind the bar, with people parking their cars 20meters away able to see into our room (I'll remind you here that we booked 11 months ago) , so we have to keep the curtains closed (zero views for us), I wish we had booked the hotel we usually stay in. . The one saving grace is the staff, they have been great, friendly and smiley. (They are the 2 stars in the review) Let's see how the week works out,

The staff at the hotel were lovely. Very warming. And the location is great … a very very short ski to the lifts. But the hotel is SO dated. Our room was poor. A sink that barely drained. Room decor was so so dated. The carpet cheap and old. There’s more charm room wise in an Ibis basic. Any hotel that charges this amount a night and doesn’t have WIFI…..seriously ? This is amateur to say the least The food was pleasant (particularly if you like duck) but overall for what you pay we all felt disappointed
