Reviews
The experience was amazing, the teachers are world class. Great environment in the evening and there are a couple of internationals around and in between all the French.
Loved it, will be going again
The food tastes great but allergy info is missing. Since there are different options it would be very easy for the guest to choose something that they can eat if that information was present.
The guides and the skiing on the offpist group are excellent!
Level of comfort 0,
We paid 180euro for bus and it was late both coming and going for one hour without communication!
Rooms were too small to move in. The whole building was smelling of toilet.
1 small bedroom for 6 people and 1 toilet for 3 rooms! Bunked small beds! Showers are shared as well and in a very bad condition!
Food was ok!
Parties and after skis are boring.
Alcohol outside the bar is forbidden!
Overall the experience was not good.
Absolutely wonderful hotel, and what makes it so good is the staff. They are the friendliest, most helpful staff anyone could ask for, a real credit to the owners.
It is a boutique hotel with 30 rooms and has a very personal feel about it. You really do feel part of the family when you stay.
We loved it, it’s a shame it closes for the summer season as it would be great to stay and enjoy the summer walks of the area.
It is technically ski-in/ski-out although the ski-out side involves a rather steep walk of about 30 metres to get to the run. However there is a free shuttle mini-bus that will take you direct to the lifts.
We will return undoubtedly.
Amazing stuff
Rooms stink and have small, horrible, shared showers.
BUT, you can't beat the value. I will definitely go here again with my dudes, but expect spartan accommodation, that's it. Best wishes to UCPA.
The food is plentiful and of a high quality, the rental kit is of a good standard and the service excellent. The staff and ski instructors were fantastic, they go out of their way to help guests out.
The only negative is that the rooms are extremely cramped, ablutions not of a great standard and this centre is getting a bit tired, especially when compared to some of the other UCPAs.
We were surprised by crepes and mulled wine after rides, it was delicious.
Although I was disappointed with the kitchen in this center. No croissants, pan chocolat or orange juice for breakfast. Only burnt eggs and very bad coffee in the machine.
Lunch and dinner were better, but it seems that they are trying to save on food as much as they can... I only liked the tartiflet on Friday and the burgers on Saturday.
There was a weak pressure of water in showers and sometimes there was no hot water.
Pour le prix c'etais un semain excelente!
The team at UCPA were great, we had no problems using Action Outdoors from the UK, as usual. The rooms were dated but clean and functional, bring some ear plugs though. Food was decent but limited options for vegetarians on some days compared so some other UCPA sites. The equipment was really good and the whole team were really helpful. The location is decent with a shuttle stop almost outside but a little walk if you go by foot.
For the price we had a great week!
Cafe and Restaurants near hotel
The rooms are newly renovated and beautifully decorated. They’re a bit on the small side, but that’s the Alps. The location couldn’t be more convenient: right on the main square and just a few meters’ walk from the slopes.
Highly recommended.
PS: I hope the octopus makes its way back onto the winter menu 🥲
We got married in ValDisere and had previously stayed here so recommended it to our guests.
Unfortunately the service was terrible. And we had so many disappointed stories from family and friends.
As a couple we check in after our wedding for a weekend. We moved rooms three times due to water leaks and noise. Every time we were moved, staff never helped. After our final move and another water leak complaint we came into our new room and a bag was missing - which I later found myself after going into their staff room where the dirty sheets were.
Its a great location, and the rooms are cool, although mostly only showers and town noise - if the service can be changed it may redeem itself.
