Hôtel Club MMV Les Brévières in Tignes

Do not go here! There is a vomiting and diarrhoea bug going around, the hotel has known about it for weeks and still invites new guests. We contracted it through the food. The rooms are tiny. The food is awful and spreads viruses. The cleanliness is appalling. Even though they knew about the bug, they didn’t warn us. AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!

We have been traveling to winter resorts for 10 years — from budget to expensive ones. I am generally not a complaining person: for me, being on vacation is already a joy and I usually ignore small issues. But this hotel exceeded all my patience and positivity. It wouldn’t be fair to compare it to luxury resorts. However, we have stayed in more budget places and even in poorer countries where the level of rooms, food, and service was far better. Here, for this price, we had the worst experience in all our years of travel. ROOMS: The room is old, cold, and uncomfortable. Maybe they did some renovations, but it feels like nothing has changed for years. The toilet is a disaster: no window, no ventilation, and there is a bad smell even before you enter. The bathroom is tiny and outdated. There are no proper toiletries — only two tiny pieces of hard soap that leave your skin dry. At reception I was seriously told this “super soap” can also be used to wash hair. If you want hair like a sponge that you can’t comb — that will work. Thankfully there is a small supermarket nearby where I bought everything myself. But how is this acceptable in a hotel that costs nearly 300€ per night? The windows let in cold air. The hotel is clearly not prepared for winter. The only way to stay warm is to close the shutter, but then the room becomes completely dark and you can’t even tell if it’s morning. No bathrobes, no slippers, no kettle. The beds have sharp wooden corners and very narrow space around them. Going to the bathroom at night is like an obstacle course. Both we and the children ended up with bruised legs. Positives: — there is a hair dryer — very firm mattresses (a plus for some people) Cleaning is daily but superficial. Towels are changed once a week. If you leave a towel on the floor, they may simply hang it back up. There is zero soundproofing. You hear every step above, below, and in the corridor. I could even hear people zipping their jackets while walking past the room. If there is music in the bar, you won’t sleep until 10:30–11:00 pm. On the second day the heater stopped working. We reported it for two days in a row, and it was only fixed on the third day after I strongly complained. FOOD: It takes effort to cook this badly. During the whole week only one dinner was decent and only one dish was truly tasty. There are almost no vegetables. Breakfast: Fried eggs are only made after 8:00 am (and only sunny-side up), even though breakfast starts at 7:30. Two types of croissants, two types of cheese and cold cuts, and a cheese corner. Vegetables (cucumber and tomato) not every day. Pancakes must be cooked by yourself and there is always a queue. Yogurt, bread, spreads — standard. Lunch and dinner: Very small selection. Often feels like leftovers reused. Only one meat option and one fish option, both hard to enjoy. Soups are inedible. Vegetables limited to corn, beans, and peas. We were a group of 10 people and everyone shared the same opinion. Hot tea

Stayed as part of a package with Erna Low, late booking otherwise I would have stayed at one of the other Tignes resorts as there’s nothing here, although the access to the slopes is good. The rooms are tiny and very basic, fine for a lads trip but not for families. Had an all inclusive package but ate out after the first night, the food is buffet style and basically inedible with very little choice, breakfast is much of the same.

Nice ski location Kids just running round crazy cold downstairs Food stone cold nearly every day the shower fell off the wall completely and hit my head, Wich I have attached a picture off and the manager was completely rude, not professional at all saying I need to go to the doctors to prove I have a head ache for any compansation 97% of the people I have spoke to said they had a terrible time and won’t be coming back and neither will I don’t waste your time people re heated food not fresh food it’s not a 4 star hotel more like a 2 dont be fooled. We will be requesting money back through who we booked with never making the mistake of coming here again

I have never left a review on anywhere before but this hotel is truly appalling on the second night I had money stole out my room by cleaners the food is stone cold and basically vegetarian the hotel is stone cold, and to make it even better I was enjoying a shower the whole thing falls of the wall hits me in the back of the head I missed a whole day of skiing and there saying the only way they’ll reimburse me is if I go to the doctors baring in mind I’m from England please don’t waste your money coming here I don’t understand how it’s a 4 star rating. Honestly just pay slightly extra and get a better hotel not to mention the crockery is dirty. And there is a light in a room without a casing around it so it’s a real risk if u have kids it’s a big shame to say I’ve been skiing 15 times and I’ve never had an experience as bad as this please don’t make the same mistake I did and come to this (hotel) more like a hostel. And the manager is completely rude don’t waste your time.
