The restaurant is fantastic. Fondue was absolutely LIFECHANGING! Had the mushroom fondue and the regular one. Never had such good fondue in my life. Wow. amazing. Also had the raclette with the 6 choices which was lovely. They give extra toppings to try but the cheese was great on its own! Came in a cool potato bag which kept them warm. The bags were very cool with their brand and apparently used cherry nuts to stay warm? They were for sale at reception and i sooo wanted one but couldnt justify paying €50 for a potato bag 🥲 maybe if price was down a bit id buy a few! later on my friends played chess in the bar area, the server named Gaelic was very nice! We tried the genepi which was delish!

The only negative: ordered their special cocktail of the week which had all my fave ingredients but unfortunately wasnt the best . tasted more like a meat marinade than cocktail 🥲 I recommend go with the classics or wine instead.

The rooms are super clean, breakfast is very good, the bar has a nice atmosphere and the service is superb. Can easily walk to the piste or the bus stop is very close. Would highly recommend and hope to stay there again.

Had dinner here tonight. The mushroom soup was fabulous as was the raclette. The only recommendation i have is to order half the quantity that is recommended. Raclette for 2 could have fed four.

I organised a group of 8 people to visit Val D'Isere and stayed at the Avancher last week (Jan 2026). The booking service was flawless with Ylan and Morgane providing email and direct advice in the hotel. Rooms were clean, good size and well appointed. We had views over the slopes as requested. A big thank you to the bar staff who were brilliant and accommodated our many requests. Finally thank you to the owner who came out to see us off. For anyone looking for a traditional but modern hotel in Val, I would recommend the Avancher. We will be back.

Been going every year for 10 years now. It is a great place for couples, families , friends. The staff is amazing. Nicely renovated, very good quality restaurant, large and cozy bar area… and a large and convenient bagagerie for when you arrive or leave the hotel and don’t have your room but need store luggage’s, have shower…it has become expensive over time, but it’s solid value (and it’s Val d’Isère)

This was the perfect dining experience for our Christmas celebration in Val d’Isère. We were served wonderful French cuisine, and the restaurant delivered an outstanding gluten-free dinner.
Everything was just right: the atmosphere, the service, and the quality of the food. All credit to the wonderful team for giving us such an unforgettable Christmas celebration. This is a restaurant we truly look forward to visiting again.

Fantastic hotel.
Beautiful hotel in a great location. Staff were friendly and very helpful. The rooftop sauna and hot tub were great after a long day on motorbikes. Unexpected luxury!

Top place to stay. Highly recommend.
The place was exceptionally clean, fresh and modern. The amenities were wonderful. A great bar and brilliant restaurant. I also took use of the steam room, sauna and Jacuzzi. Don’t forget to use the outside sauna with a view of the mountains. Also the people that work here are lovely, from the restaurant to reception desk to the cleaners. Very convenient parking below the building with Lift access to your room.
