The hotel is super well situated, view on the lake of Annecy and in the old town. The hotel’s decoration is so warm and you feel immediately Christmas and festive atmosphere. The staff are very nice. We got a family room, everyone was satisfied.

Great location - close to the lake, and very walkable from the bus/train station. We had a nice 5th room with a balcony and views of the mountains. Beds were very comfortable. Only negative was a slow draining shower, which we informed the hotel about upon leaving. Front reception staff were pleasant.

Very small so called deluxe room. No lake view as advertised. Very noisy early in the morning and late at night. Bar had one whisky and one rum. Car parking was awkward. Shower didn't drain away quick enough. Toilet was positively claustrophobic. Nice location but would stay elsewhere in future.

Located within walking distance of the train station, directly facing the European Gardens and the large lake, and very close to the old town, this hotel boasts a perfect location! Ideal for a short stay in Annecy.

We had two rooms at the Hotel Splendid for one night. The price was reasonable. We had one larger room and a double room. The rooms were very nice. Our larger room was perfect and we had a king size bed. The hotel is in a great area. You can walk out the door and there is a park and of course the lake. This hotel is close to everything. The staff was very friendly and helpful as well. We rented bikes and bikes around the lake. The breakfast looked good but we didn’t get it.

This was the 2nd time my husband and I stayed here and we will be back!!!!!
They are outstanding on every level (location, easy parking across the street for which they give a massive discount, the rooms are exquisite with electrical outlets on both sides of the bed, thoughtful lighting, comfy beds) and the staff are phenomenal!!!! Discreet, knowledgeable, helpful. My husband is SUPER PICKY and he loves this hotel too!!! I would not recommend a car for the few days your in annecy if your American, but its nice to have the choice! We cant wait ti visit again!!!!
(I pity anyone who doesn't love this hotel lol... ) darn it just occurred to me i should have written this in French... I hope Google translate is up to the task and the appreciation we feel is communicated sufficiently!

I would recommend this hotel and we hope to return.
Very happy with our family room. Beds/Bedding extremely comfortable. Our daughter got a large sofa bed, also very comfortable. No balcony on the family rooms but we appreciated the large opening windows and enjoyed the view over Old Town roof tops.
Bathroom was well stocked with toiletries and the shower was spacious. The safe was available at no extra cost and filtered water was readily available in reception.
The location is fantastic, especially useful for us as a family going back and forth from the lake after swimming/boating. Also an abundance of restaurants and the Old Town very nearby. 10 minute walk to train/coach station.
The breakfast room was never crowded and the buffet selection was good.
As a bonus the hotel offer the use of a paddleboard which we didnt use, but would hope to if we return.
Staff were polite and helpful.

The hotel is in a great location, just a 7-minute walk from Annecy's bus station/train station. It's also within easy reach of the old town and the lake. The entire hotel, from the entrance to the room, exudes an art deco vibe and is quite chic. The room is well-centered, with separate wet and dry areas, which is rare and particularly nice. I hadn't originally planned to have breakfast at the hotel, but that afternoon, my nephew was in a hurry to use the restroom in the restaurant. The waiter treated him so kindly that after using the restroom, he went to the restaurant and asked for some lemonade. He even made him a glass of warm lemonade (hot water + cold water + lemon slices). Anyone who knows how to do this will appreciate it. I was so touched. We chose to have breakfast at the hotel on our last day, and it was quite rich. It will be my first choice next time I visit.

I don't know why this hotel has a high rating. After checking in, I found it to be a big pit. First, the facilities are outdated; second, there is no view of Lake Annecy; third, the breakfast is rubbish; fourth, the service attitude is extremely poor. Friends, please be careful to avoid this pit!
