The hotel is well located, within walking distance from the historic centre and monuments. The room was good size, cosy, quiet, well appointed and very clean, no spots, no old furniture or appliances. There is everything you need, a special observation for the very good quality toiletries: Nuxe. Very good breakfast served in a large and quiet room with good quality products, cold and warm, everything...
Had a great time at the Mercure centre ville and stayed for 3 nights. Exceptional service from the reception and cleaning staff. My girl left her stuff on her side of the bed during the day and staff left her stuff untouched which was great and they left her side of the bed unmade but they still made the effort to make my side of the bed. Amazing attention to detail. Thanks to everyone.
It was really good experience.
The hotel is great! The bar was fun, the tv showed formula one, the rooms had a kettle and coffee pods, had a second door to block noise from the hallway, and caramels!
It is in a great location, really easy walking distance to the attractions
It was nice to stay in this hotel and it is near centre ville. The room is clean and they will clean everday. But the amentites are not too many, only basic bar and restaurant. TV is cable channel.
Nice stay for 2 nights in Bordeaux with family. It is convenient coming by car and is there is a paid parking in the shopping Center next to the hotel. Not at the heart but only 10 min walking distance from old town. Clean rooms and friendly staff.

This is the budget Ibis so don't expect much. Room was tiny but cosy. Bathroom super small but has a loo, shower and tiny sink that splashes water everywhere. Don't bother with the breakfast though. Weak coffee, toast and croissant. Museli tastes like shredded cardboard. Dining room doubles as reception and corridor.

Great central location, staff very friendly and accommodating. Rooms were decent, only reason not 5 star is due to ineffective air conditioning for me! Otherwise, great hotel.

The room was quite satisfactory, and the service was good. Plus, the room had a water view. It's a bit far from the Old Town. The breakfast had fruit, but was lacking in green leafy vegetables, only offering shredded radish. If you're only staying one night in Bordeaux, it's better to stay near the Grand Theatre in the Old Town to experience the castle culture! For those staying just one night, you...
Everything was great, from the facilities to the service, couldn't ask for more. The only minor downside was the limited variety at breakfast.
The hotel is clean and excellent near a food court. The staff are extremely courteous and professional. Absolutely recommend! The staff made a point to try and give us a river facing room. If you plan to use the hotel parking, I advice to book the parking in advance. Great breakfast spread!
Good service. Nest to the hotel is convenient store , eateries. Good river view. Comfortable and clean room. Walking sister the St Jean Train station. Enjoyable experience.
Excellent stay at Hilton Garden Inn Bordeaux Centre! The staff were exceptionally friendly and professional. Clean, modern rooms with comfortable beds. Great bar attached to hotel. Very convenient location near the train station. Highly recommend.

My husband and I stayed at the Intercontinental Bordeaux for only two nights, we were blown away by the service. We were checked in by the very lovely Andrea at the front desk. After our long day of travel she was very kind, recognising our status as IHG Platinum and Intercon. Ambassador members.
We were allocated a beautiful suite with direct view of the Opera House, along with some delicious welcome...
Maybe the best hotel experience I've ever had!
The Intercontinental Bordeaux is a historic and beautiful hotel in the very center of town. We were greeted by the most helpful and cheerful staff you could imagine that made the check in process so easy and enjoyable.
The room itself was spacious and beautiful (photos can't capture how nice). Premium products in the bathroom and the softest bed I've...
We were received and welcome by Sabrina, She was most accommodating and made us feel comfortable. Also during our stay Morgan and Andria were most helpful during our stay. George was also helping making all our reservation. All in All I can say that Intercontinental hotel in Bordeaux met all our expectation. Keep up the good work.
Thank you,
John Mirsepahi
House keeping did not replenish black tea and enough cream despite requesting on 2 occasions. In a family room for 3, only 2 bottles of water and 2 chocolates were left each day.
Other than that, staff were friendly and helpful. We loved the old original feel of the building and interiors. The family room was very spacious and we appreciated having 2 bathrooms and separate toilets.
The special gifts...
Because we were a couple, one adult and two children, we couldn't fit into a regular room, so we booked a suite. The exterior is beautiful, in the bustling area of Bordeaux. However, we were given a second-floor suite. Anyone who's stayed in an old European hotel knows that the second floor was originally a warehouse, with low ceilings and small windows. You can see the building just two meters away...
Thank you to the InterContinental team for their professionalism and hospitality. Due to a local festival, we had a hard time reaching the hotel, but Curtis went above and beyond to help us check in smoothly and rest after our long trip. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Lovely hotel in a great spot to see the sites
The location is good ! Front desk service nice !

The housekeeping service not super good !
Missing towels paper and not very clean bathroom
The breakfast average for 5 starts hotel and also the seating area not very comfortable for proper breakfast ( seat to low )

I couldn’t believe the toilet wasn’t flushed when I entered the room, but the rest was no problem.
Very environmentally-oriented, aesthetically pleasing, good gym, excellent breakfasts and dinners. Need to put non-alcoholic wines on the menu.
Pretty nice ‘Indigo’ experience. Nice reception and service, especially the very sweet offer of complimentary croissants and pastries leaving on GF at the morning time, let the busy travelers just to grab and go for a simple breakfast. Overall a quite happy stay there, especially if you like running at the morning, it’s just steps away from the podium along the Gironne River, which is so beautiful
The rooms are nice. We booked 2 rooms for 2 nights. My wife found a small bug on the bed. It wasn’t a bed bug but the staff was nice enough to change our rooms. The rooms are not the same even though they’re the same rate. One has a dressing table while the other doesn’t have one. So make sure to ask if you check in early enough. It is walkable to the city centre but not that close. Service staff was...
Nice hotel but several malfunctions with inefficient air conditioning and a TV running on IPTV that is constantly pixelating... in short, a real shame. Fortunately, the staff is extremely pleasant.

Room was large enough.
Other than that, everything was below average.
Bad smelling soap they are using to clean up. No lotion or conditioner provided.
The room smelled all right but the corridor smelled bad all the time.
Our experience was excellent from the moment of booking to check-out. The hotel staff were absolutely lovely and friendly — they helped us with everything we needed and made us feel truly welcome. We were greeted by the manager upon arrival, which was such a warm touch.
The check-in was quick and smooth, our room was beautiful with a stunning outdoor area, and the breakfast was simply extraordinary...
We like this place. Really convenient to the train station, reasonable price, comfortable quiet room (king bed, very comfortable) friendly helpful staff, nice restaurant.
I would suggest bath mats in the shower particularly for older people, once the water has hit the shower it tends to be a bit slippery.
I would also suggest that perhaps down at the barrier area they might introduce fries so that you can have just snacks with your drinks rather than food.
Additionally, while it was warm outside, depending on the type of year, the air conditioning at that level was...
Lovely and clean, very friendly and helpful staff. A 20 minute walk to the old town centre, less than 10 minutes walk to the train station and a tram stop right outside.

Good cotton bedding!
Beautiful hotel and very large room and bath. Comfortable bed and well appointed with amenities. It is a 35-40 minute walk to the historic center.
The hotel is okay at best. Staff was extremely rude and not helpful. Room was not clean, especially toilets and bathroom. Does not really fits the 4* claim.
The dry and wet areas are separated and the space is large, which is very good.
We stayed here while visiting for the Olympics and it just so happened to be the same hotel where the Men's and Women's Spanish National Soccer teams were staying! The hotel is beautiful and a close walk to the river trams, with plenty of dining/shopping options nearby.

The quality of the coffee was also good!
The staff were both professional and helpful- for a budget hotel- the quality was great!
Highly recommended!👌
Good location opposite from St jean train station and near public transportation...thank you for hospitality🙏
Ultimately a functional and very basic / spartan room. No frills. Have to put a deposit to get the hairdryer. Was glad that the a/c worked well enough and there was lift to every floor. You can top up water at the restaurant.
The room is clean, the mattress is good and the hotel is really close to the station. The breakfast buffet is really nice and you can have your breakfast from 5am to 10am. It's really convenient for early trains.

It's very close to the train station, just a few minutes' walk, perfect for catching an early train. It's about a 10-15 minute drive from the city center. Overall, the rooms are relatively spacious but comfortable.
If you don't like red wine, I wouldn't recommend the medieval town. You absolutely must go to Akashon for oysters—delicious and inexpensive! The sand dunes are also well worth visiting

Perfect hotel next to the train station. Was choosing between Mercure and Hotel 56 (even booked it first) and difference is grand. Mercure is so much better. Friendly stuff, good amenities. I also left some clothes in the room and they quickly found it and packed it for me. Recommended!

The hotel is located, 25 min on foot from the strict city center ( around 4-5 tram stations).
Could have been a bit cleaner.
Not sure why this structure would deserve the 3 stars. The rooms are clean enough, however:
- Super thin walls and doors, you can hear everything that goes on outside and in the neighboring rooms. Luckily I had earplugs.
- There was a bad smell in the bathroom, probably the sink wasn't property cleaned as it was also partially clogged.
- Breakfast was a let down, basically just some toast, ham,...
The hotel requires several passcode to enter various gates, and they change the passcodes on different days. It is quite inconvenient for customers to bring along the passcode sheet and see which gate requires which passcode on which day. And the attendants did not clean our room as requested.
Nice and clean room but WiFi in bedroom is really bad and dogs bark throughout the night (guess that depends if you’re unlucky with guests/their dog).
Great hotel in a quiet neighbourhood of Bordeaux. Close to the centre and train station. Would recommend
Stayed for a week to attend a conference, room 124. The reception was nice and helpful. The room was large, clean and cleaned daily. 4 days into a 10 day stay in Bordeaux at the Quality Hotel. A wonderful place to stay in the center of the Bordeaux scene. There is no reason to try anywhere else.We love it here. Staff cleanliness and comfort all 5 star
Very centrally located. Amazing breakfast, soft beds, moderate noise in the room and some maintainance needed.
Honestly loved this hotel, the bed was soft and comfy, the room was small but not too small, I had room for my luggage and everything. Location was perfect right by the longest pedestrian shopping street in Europe and the highlight, they have glass water bottles for you to fill up in the lobby with filtered water or sparkling water to take to your room
Location is terrific. Right on a walking street in a busy part of town. Lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. Front desk staff were amazing.
Warm, helpful and knowledgeable staff especially the front desk ladies. I had a wonderful stay and it’s in the heart of Bordeaux, easy access to the wineries, café’s, restaurants and bars. There is a small hotel bar with delicious cocktails, water station in the lobby and coffee in your room. Thank you so much, great job to the team!! Merci!
The room was OK. It rained during our stay, and the first room we were given had a strong odor. It was fine after we changed the room, but the air conditioner didn't work, and the room was quite cold. The bathroom heater didn't heat the room the next day. When checking in, we had to show our credit card, but we just touched the card and didn't know what it was for.

The reception and breakfast were very good.
There was no air conditioning in the room, so it was too hot.
A bit small for the price.
There were three of us; the third bed (bunk bed) needed making, and we found hair. The bathroom was tiny. It's a two-star hotel, and the price is low, but it could use some cleanliness and space. The location, however, is excellent, very close to the center.
The room is narrow, but clean, modern plumbing, comfortable bed. Excellent location. One or two nights will be ideal for those who want to save money and live practically in the center of Bordeaux.
1. The location is right for a tourist - quite far from the train station - and very close to the center, there is a tram stop nearby, which can replace all transport in Bordeaux. The worst thing is that the rooms are too small.
Never again.
