Hotels in Pau

I never got to terms with Pau as a town - August is not the time to go I learnt - but the hotel is pleasant, and the staff at reception and in the restaurants are helpful, polite and efficient. On that basis I would happily come back to the hotel and recommend it.

A very nice hotel in a great location for exploring Pau. Our room was comfortable and well appointed, but didn't have a balcony and faced the car park, which was disappointing for a 5 star hotel. Also, the pool and spa area was advertised as open every day, but was closed on the Monday when we stayed, again disappointing. Probably the best hotel in Pau although located far away from the city center, but nice location in a park. Rooms are okay not more. Breakfast buffet was good. You need to reserve for the indoor pool area to avoid crowds. Possibility to load your e-car indoor.

Unfortunately we do not speak French as don't visit much.. The server we had, Adaline, done a great job, but her colleagues not so good. Asked if spoke English, to try and help.. We stopped for one night and had a wonderful stay. All of the staff were extremely helpful, the room was comfortable and the pool was fantastic on a very warm day.

Very conveniently located hotel to visit Pau. Even though it has not a 4 stars quality it is no too pricey and it does include parking and breakfast. Bed and pillows are fairly comfortable. The recepcionist was very helpful.Breakfast was a very basic buffet, but good quality products.

Everything wad great. We loved the cleanliness and front desk service. The only complaint I would have would be the breakfast. It was a bit overpriced for the options.

Brilliant location close to the city centre.

A well-managed property, centrally located, with excellent staff. The ease of parking was especially appreciated. The room was well-designed and maintained. The attractions of central Pau are within easy walking distance. The only downside was the fitness room only opened at noon.

Staff is very friendly, and it's super well located with a small parking in the hotel patio Lacks a bit of maintenance in the shower, elevator. No air conditioner, just a basic fan. Walls are very thin so you hear the neighbours a lot

We haven’t been allowed by the young lady at the reception for 1 hour late check out which was really disappointing since there were not any real reason for that

Amazing hotel in the heart of Pau. Very nice and quiet. The staff very kind and helpful. You have nice restaurants and cafes close by. You can do shopping as well at walkable distance. Will definitely stay again.

Room was very clean and staff ever helpful. The room across the hall was much nicer. Larger, sunny, and had a bathtub. I would have asked for it if I knew. Breakfast is a bargain.

The hotel is located at the entrance of the pedestrian street in Pau. It is a very old hotel with warm service and free underground parking. We were upgraded to a huge round room on the top floor with a good view of the balcony outside the window. The bedroom is full of quaint old furniture. The bathroom is very new. Lovely 3 star hotel, rooms are large shower worked well but the attachment to the wall didnt grip so you couldnt alter the height., bed was very comfortable and I loved the pillows. The toiletries are basic, but there. Breakfast was not worth the money very basic buffet with mini pastries, bread, cheese, hams, yoghurt. Sorry but I expect a proper croissant in France

Location very central and the room was a good size, however when we went up to the room, couldn’t get into the wardrobe (which had the spare towels) because the door was broken. Told reception who sent someone to fix it but it still wasn’t perfect. There was only 1 coffee pod for 2 people so had to ask for another one. Correct. It is an old hotel in which some of the rooms have been renovated. The one that corresponded to me was and therefore it was quite good. This hotel is well situated for visiting Pau and has good parking. However the rooms are much smaller than the usual Ibis rooms so I wouldn’t want to stay for more than one night. The sink is in the room as the bathroom is so small. That said the room was spotlessly clean and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was good, though the staff seemed overstretched so the buffet wasn’t replenished regularly.

Good location, and did everything a hotel should on a business trip. Clean rooms, well laid out and bright. Bar/reception were always helpful and breakfast was good. Look forward to visiting again sometime.

Our group travels around France a few times a year and we usually stay at an Ibis because of their location, standards, and value for money. This was a good typical Ibis . The only problem was that I had to phone to reception twice ,once just after 12.15 am and again at about 1.30 am . The reason was because a group of delivery guy's apparently always congregate in the underpass to the parking late...

Rooms are tiny for 2 people with luggage and no security box in the room. The shower is very nice, spacious. Staff is really nice and always ready to help with a great smile. Great place and location for a short stay in Pau.

Even though I was traveling alone, the receptionist wanted to charge me as if there were two people staying. She became very impertinent and in a very bad manner agreed to charge only the rates for one person, just as she should have done from the beginning.

hotel still well located for a football or rugby fan with pau fc and the paloise section . I think the hotel needs a little makeover a long-time customer I was told that the price had increased, in a somewhat stiff and severe way, so I decided to come back but without breakfast otherwise overall value for money it is correct and practical for me and my wife

Hello, I want to give my appreciation, because I was extremely disappointed with the breakfast. Breakfast from 6:30 to 10 a.m., showing up at 9 a.m., the first day there was not much choice, and the second day, the baskets were empty, the apple juice was empty. For the rest, nothing to say......... on the contrary, the room is spacious, and the bedding is great, we sleep very well there.

We got very lost and did not actually arrive until 6a.m. so only stayed a few hours. However Ben the receptionist was very accommodating. The room was clean but the bathroom door was broken and the bin had not been emptied, apart from that all good

QUICK PALACE STAY A basic accommodation in line with the low price but clean and good service. No microwave facility.

The room smelled strange. The bathroom had no real walls separating it from the room - more a flex fence. The shower had no curtain so water ends up all over the bathroom. Nice staff, but we had some challenges communicating since one member of staff didn't speak any English.

It was near racecourse and we were there for the racing. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. It was good value for the money.

Really good for an overnight stay. Clean, comfortable bed and friendly helpful staff. We had our cat with us and a very reasonable €5 charge applied (for extra cleaning). Close to a number of restaurants and convent for leaving Pau during the morning rush hour. Room a little worn and basic, and I would find it not ideal for longer stays but great as a stopover.

Nice rooms, the shower room isn't bad (a real shower not a plastic cubical). The rooms are spacious enough, free wifi and french tv. Breakfast is fine, not much selection but everything you need.

This is a small hotel with very attentive staff who are always looking to help you. The facilities are clean and comfortable. It is in a very convenient location adjacent to the pedestrian core of Pau.

Great Place in the heart of Pau I always stay here when in Pau. The location is great, the staff are super friendly and its great value. Some of the higher end hotels have better facilities, but they are like double the price. If you like a good value and slightly old world French style place then I am sure you will like it here and its walkable to the centre and all the bars etc.

Fab hotel - perfect for a stopover. The receptionist was super helpful and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable and parking was free We drove the 10 minutes to the Boulevard des Pyrenees for dinner but there looked to be places to eat within easy walking distance of the hotel.

The greeting from Joanne, on reception, was most appreciated. After a long motorbike ride, she made me feel very welcome. The room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. I like a firm mattress. I only stayed for 1 night but should l be in the area again l will most certainly see if they have any room. Merci!

Excellent location, staff es super helpful made us feel like home. Parking onsite. We had a short stay and there were 5 of us so the price was super affordable. To visit the center of the city you need to drive in a straight line for few minutes and parking is very close to everything.

Good points are the location, comfortable and clean bed (no duvet) and very pleasant staff. Bad points: a very old building with fixtures and fittings to match. No bedside sockets to charge things, two in the room and one stopped working, dirty sink plug, tiles not stuck properly, tired decor and painting. Sad, because it has potential but no money has been spent on it for some considerable time.

Excellent value for money for this hotel ideally located in the center of Pau. The rooms are clean and cozy, and the buffet breakfast is generous and very affordable. The rooms are well heated and soundproofed. The welcome is particularly warm.

The hotel was located on the square in the middle of Pau. The location was good. However, you can see that the building is quite old. The room was spacious, but the bathroom was small, the shower pressure was very weak, and there were almost no amenities. The people at the reception were nice. There was air conditioning. If the hotel were rebuilt in this location, it could be reborn as a 4-star hotel...

Being situated just north of Pau, it was perfectly located for an overnight stay on our way home frim Spain. Very friendly staff. It was unusually hot for early April and the fan didn't work so sleeping wasn't easy. However, the beds were comfortable and with the window open it was okay. Breakfast was very good.

The hotel was a bit dated but it met our needs for one night. The staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast was cheap and satisfying.

I stayed here for two days for work, everything was perfect. The welcome is very warm and friendly. The breakfast is delicious, the bread and croissants come from the best baker in France. The room is spotless, the bedding is comfortable and everything is very clean. I will come back with great pleasure!

Pleasant hotel ideally located in the city center of Pau, close to all amenities. Perfectly operated building offering clean and functional rooms, all with a very friendly welcome. Only downsides, for our own experience, a moderately comfortable mattress and a certain heat in the rooms that the fan is not enough to combat. Well located, friendly reception team. Parking sorted for us at nearby car park (with free EV charging). I think we might have had the best room, second floor with balcony. Quadruple glazing cuts out the street noise.

Very poor quality hotel especially e105 per double room per night. No visible fire escape routes on the 3rd. floor. Had to ask for coffee and sugar sachets every nights and begs a kettle and cups for the room. The shower was an apology for one. Noisy fan from the restaurant next door. Will not be returning.

Amazingly helpful and welcoming staff, with a lovely breakfast option and very clean room. On a nice pedestrianised street close to parking! How ever if you light sleeper maybe not the place for you as is not the most soundproof of buildings! But good value for money

A nice hotel very accessible. It is located in a rather quiet part in the outskirts of Pau. The hotel borders a wood and is close to the hospital. The staff is very nice and very approachable. The reception is in a bright central hall with a small gym and a small bar.
