The hotel is located at the edge of the old town some 10 minutes to the Château de Pau. The room was good size, clean, quiet. The front desk staff are very amicable and helpful with restaurant recommendations. The secure free parking is a great bonus.

Very conveniently located hotel to visit Pau. Even though it has not a 4 stars quality it is no too pricey and it does include parking and breakfast. Bed and pillows are fairly comfortable. The recepcionist was very helpful.Breakfast was a very basic buffet, but good quality products.

Everything wad great. We loved the cleanliness and front desk service. The only complaint I would have would be the breakfast. It was a bit overpriced for the options.

Sorry, not a 5, maybe 3.5 Not a five-star hotel, or at least, not anymore. The carpet in the hallway is decades old and stained. And there were no pillow cases on two of our pillows.

I never got to terms with Pau as a town - August is not the time to go I learnt - but the hotel is pleasant, and the staff at reception and in the restaurants are helpful, polite and efficient. On that basis I would happily come back to the hotel and recommend it.

We had a great 3 night stay in the hotel. The location is perfect, and the rooms are clean, air-conditioned, and spatious. The breakfast was quite good, and offered a wide range of food options. Service was friendly, and efficient. I would definitely stay there again!

Fantastic hotel in the heart of town. I had a cosy single at the very top but it was well equipped, comfortable, clean and with a great view from the window. Excellent for the price. Good breakfast too. What made it standout was the service. Christof was happy to store my bike and went out of his way to be super helpful throughout my stay which I really appreciated. We spent two lovely days in Pau and were delighted to be guests in the Hotel Le Roncevaux for that time. It is an older hotel but is nicely upgraded with all modern conveniences. And the location in Pau is perfect for the visitor. The staff was friendly, courteous and made the extra effort to ensure our satisfaction. I recommend the hotel without any hesitation!

Economic, Economy stay with zero frills. Premium room was spacious but property is aged and in a bit of disrepair. Shower leaked onto bathroom floor creating a large river and pools of water on an already spongy floor. Hotel is situated in a great spot if visiting Pau for a rugby match at Pau, hotel clean beds comfortable towels a bit thin could do with a bath mat for getting out of the shower, breakfast a basic continental but was adequate not overly priced neither. 2 receptionists we dealt with Lyla and another lady both very helpful and very friendly

5km from city center - a little bit far, daily cleaning- very good, receptionis very nice and helpful. I missed kettle in the room, and a hairdryer. But surely will be back! Good location for businesses out side of pau, quick ride. And always full of place on parking slots, 2 restaurants near by.

I stayed here with a school group for two nights, and I would happily return. The hotel and rooms were very clean and comfortable, and the location very quiet. The staff were all friendly and helpful and the breakfast offered a variety. The location was good, with public transport options around the corner as well as a small shopping centre and various eateries.

The three ladies, one from Peru, one from Paris, and one from George were very nice to me. I hope to stay here again--breakfast was also great!!

Being situated just north of Pau, it was perfectly located for an overnight stay on our way home frim Spain. Very friendly staff. It was unusually hot for early April and the fan didn't work so sleeping wasn't easy. However, the beds were comfortable and with the window open it was okay. Breakfast was very good.

Great stay in this excellent hotel in Pau. Second stay here — it’s in a convenient location to break the journey from the Bilbao ferry to Carcassonne area. I got exactly what I expected, a no frills standard Ibis. Rooms were compact but comfortable. Cleanliness was good. Car parking was a bit of a challenge as the spaces are limited. Nothing special, but nothing to complain about either.

This hotel is well situated for visiting Pau and has good parking. However the rooms are much smaller than the usual Ibis rooms so I wouldn’t want to stay for more than one night. The sink is in the room as the bathroom is so small. That said the room was spotlessly clean and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was good, though the staff seemed overstretched so the buffet wasn’t replenished regularly.

Even though I was traveling alone, the receptionist wanted to charge me as if there were two people staying. She became very impertinent and in a very bad manner agreed to charge only the rates for one person, just as she should have done from the beginning.

Very poor quality hotel especially e105 per double room per night. No visible fire escape routes on the 3rd. floor. Had to ask for coffee and sugar sachets every nights and begs a kettle and cups for the room. The shower was an apology for one. Noisy fan from the restaurant next door. Will not be returning.

Was difficult to get into room as did not say on email what our room number was and only had entry code. Phoned twice to get room number. No toilet in room, only shower. Had to go upstairs to toilet. Bed not very comfy.

This place is a work in progress. The owners are restoring a delapidated beautiful old building and making a good job of it from what we saw. Very nice helpful people. Good breakfast provided. Are planning to return on our next trip.

We were unable to book a disabled room, so we thought we would put up with normal room. This was not a problem until we saw the bathroom in room 303. The shower cubicle would only fit a size 6 and was a waste of time. Went down to reception and a very nice gentleman helped us out and gave us a disabled room out of thin air, when there was not a room available previously. 🤔
