Friendly and efficient meeting on check-in
Ground floor seems recently refurbished and lots modern and stylish.
Good continental breakfast
Myself and one colleague had rooms on the 2nd floor that were a distinctly different and older decor that is showing its age and quite tired.
Other colleague on 1st floor had the new modern refurb that they rated quite highly.
Overall good location, friendly staff with good breakfast but rest of the floors+rooms are overdue an update.

I got exactly what I expected, a no frills standard Ibis. Rooms were compact but comfortable. Cleanliness was good. Car parking was a bit of a challenge as the spaces are limited. Nothing special, but nothing to complain about either.

The room was too small and cramped and very noisy. When we checked out and complained about the noise (after she asked about our experience), the lady at the reception desk said we should have asked for a quiet room, like some guests like noisy rooms! The way I see it, they should have offered a room that was not on the side of the street. So, I guess those rooms on the other side are quiet. You'd better ask for one :)

Staff rude and unpleasant just because I took a cup of hot water for a tea. I have never been treated this way in any hotel. Just out of line.

Great hotel, very close to the centre and all the bars and restaurants. Helpful staff, nice rooms.

This hotel is well situated for visiting Pau and has good parking. However the rooms are much smaller than the usual Ibis rooms so I wouldn’t want to stay for more than one night. The sink is in the room as the bathroom is so small. That said the room was spotlessly clean and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was good, though the staff seemed overstretched so the buffet wasn’t replenished regularly.

The room was smallish and when you come out from the toilet you can hit someone if you don't know they are behind the door and that you can't have the toilet door or window or it hit. The car park is small as my partner had trouble parking his motorbike and the trailer as the car park was small

The hotel was very central and suited my needs perfectly, the allowed me store my luggage for the day I was leaving. Due to me having an accident they allowed the ambulance man collect my luggage with my ticket, I was much relieved that I did not have to collect it myself.

Nice hotel and restaurants in the old city centre of Pau. Well located. No reception, all digitally accessible with codes.

Good location, warm water and wi-fi.
Some of the food for breakfast had expired and the room was dirty. Kind staff but had problem communicating with the manager. Would not recommend.

Do not book here.
Besides the very small room, and no existing air conditioning, which I can live with... The sheets and towels do not get changed (as does the toilet paper).
Furthermore, an employee asked 20 euros of me to provide a covid screen (relevant at the time) for me and my colleague in our room. Never saw that screen, never saw my money back, other employees were playing dumb.
Go somewhere else.
(sidenote: I helped a lovely old asian couple get their booking in order since they had issues getting to their room, the guy on the phone was incredibly rude)

If it were possible 0 stars,
The worst part for me were the ants in my room, the room wasn’t very clean. Very small bathroom. Whether you book for one or two people rooms are the same size. Upon arrival my room was extremely hot, the air conditioning is loud, doesn’t do it’s job very well. Every noise from the room next to you, outside, .. can be heard, no isolation at all. Stains in the room & shower. I had a kettle etc but the people in the room next to me only had sugar and one cup. I think the people praising the breakfast here had a different one, not a lot of food (& yes we were quite early), dead flies next to the coffee machine, by the window,… let’s not even mention the smell..
