Excellent breakfast, friendly staff.
No elevator makes for difficult accent and decent with heavy luggage
Fabulous location, easy walking distance from the old city. Comfortable and spacious room.
We chose this hotel due to location, as it is very close to old town and the city centre. We found parking on the street but there is a public car park 2min away. The hotel has its own charm and the receptionist was very pleasant and informative. We had family room and we are allocated the one in the 2nd floor, so we had views towards old town. The room (no 23) was spacious and enough for a family...
The service we received in this hotel is far beyond usual. We strongly recommend it, amongst the sensitive customer care, it is a place that has kept its essence, far from being luxurious its uniqueness and comfortability makes it a special place.
Located right in the city center

Disappointing
Basic. Beds were clean. Room dated. Bathroom very odd. We had a family room which had a wet room style shower. It was impossible to keep anything in the bathroom dry and it even began leaking outside the room. The shower head was positioned at a very odd angle making it very hard to shower.
Towels were small and very cheap. No extra pillows in the room.

Booked at late notice for a family overnight stop on a road trip. Nothing fancy but it did the job we needed. Breakfast (paid extra) was good. Powerful shower.
Great stay and the restaurant was good.
Very nice and helpful staff. We also had a nice dinner in the restaurant.
Great stopover stay….
This was stopover for us, family of 5 driving back to the UK from the south if France. Booked a family room, which had 3 single beds and a double. All family rooms are corner rooms - plenty if space and very clean / comfortable. The hotel bathroom is a little dated but very clean. Great shower over the bath - very powerful.
Nothing around the area, so we ate in the hotel restaurant...

Great location in the heart of Madrid, very friendly staff and one of the best breakfasts I ever had at a hotel.
A truly lovely, small hotel located in the north of central Paris, between the 9th and 18th Arrondissements. Rooms are rather small (normal for Paris), but clean, very comfortable and well appointed. The bathroom was great and almost as big as the room itself I definitely recommend getting an upgraded room facing the front of the hotel. And I cannot say enough good things about the staff. They were...
We only stayed here for one night on our way back through France, it is all fairly new interms of the rooms but it is a beautiful old building. The restaurant is very good, with an excellent selection of local wines. There is very limited parking, maybe 6 spaces in the hotel, but almost exactly opposite is an underground car park which is clean and well lit. We lost our ticket for the parking but...
The location is perfect. Large parking lot across the street. The front desk person was extremely helpful and very very friendly. The bar is very good and the decor + ambiance is super duper. Very much recommended
We stated at this lovely boutique hotel located in the heart of Dijon historic city centre in late August 2025.
Service was wonderful. We were warmly welcomed by duty manager ‘Brice’ who spoke fluent English and arranged secure car parking for our BMW at the hotel.
Dinner in the hotel was superb – the steak was perfectly cooked (one of the best we had during our holiday in France) , the side dishes...
Brice on reception is amazing, really helpful and very kind. He gave great recommendations for eating and museums and helped in other ways, like printing a seat reservation. Our standard room on the 2nd floor faced out to the road and I heard traffic and pedestrians until midnight, and building works from 7.30am. The room is very comfortable and the hotel has character. We ate in the restaurant and...

Surrounding was very crowded with resting lorries and their drivers. Felt unsafe die to very open space
We arrived late to our hotel, we had received a voicemail saying the reception would be closing 2hrs before we arrived. We were unable to get through to reception to arrange a late check in. Luckily we arrived at the same time as another guest who had arranged late check in. The reception staff were very friendly and we felt very lucky, as we thought we would have had to sleep in the car. So, arrange...
Convenient transportation, clean rooms
Perfect. Very clean room and bathroom. Car park.
Easy access from the expressway.
Recommended because it is excellent value for money.
Recommend this hotel.
Reception: excellent, room: clean, well presented, comfortable bed, spacious- could not fault it.
Only negative: next door restaurant was closed on a Sunday, but directed to nearby alternative
For one night, no need more. Very supportive administration. Cheap.

Easy check-in, free parking. Clean and tidy rooms. Good breakfast, affordable.
Hotel. First-class, first-class with impeccable service.
Being alone in the room, I regret, however, that I was charged a daily rate because I had booked a room with a large bed.
Relatively well-maintained, secure parking.
The hotel is in a very good location, with plenty of free parking spaces. The hotel front desk was very welcoming and the service attitude was very good. The price is very cost-effective. I will stay here again next time.

+ family room has option to clsoe the door for children in a separate room
+ location is great in the city center
- rundown facility
- you hear the water run down the pipes loudly every time someone on a higher floor flushed the toilet
- rain shower not operable as it overflows & no water is coming trough the designated nozzles
Great lication! So close to the churches, square and all the restaurants. The front desk friendly and helpful.
Our big room for our family is on the upper floor at the end of the building, it is one of the older rooms with worn out carpet and a few sunlight windows. If you are claustrophobic it is not suitable.
Disrespectful neighbours were smoking outside the foyer, although it is a non smoking hotel.
Staff were all very helpful and pleasant though, makes us feel welcomed.
Simple amenities. A one night stay...
Wonderful family room that was more than enough space for our family of 5. Great location near the cathedral and town centre. Lovely staff, who were incredibly polite and kind when I had accidentally left without paying. This is a fantastic overnight stop for anyone travelling to the south of France - especially with kids. Excellent value for money.

Decent location from the main busy area. Tight parking available so if you have a large car you might struggle. Rooms were clean. Beds were comfortable.

not much to be said frankly. My room was facing the tram tracks and they run at 6am, sink was blocked, but guess pricing should be taken into consideration

nice little hotel.

Comfortable hotel in Dijon
Solo traveller. Stayed at the Victor Hugo on two nights a week apart. A comfortable experience in this traditional French hotel, Very good breakfast. The Managers are very friendly. First room was better than the second which was rather quirky but OK. Not far from the Centre Ville station which was handy.
Nice cosy old-fashioned family type hotel. Good value for money. No elevator. Pretty big rooms. Recommended!
Very quirky - two interconnecting rooms for the price of one! Very simple and basically furbished, beautiful large bathroom and separate loo.
We had the garden room (more like a small apartment minus kitchen!) so were woken by the dawn chorus! Considering we were five minutes' walk from the centre of Dijon, this was amazing - so quiet! Would recommend.

Good location: close to the center, but quiet. I might be challenging to find the hotel, follow the map. The food has a bathtub, the hotel was empty
For the price paid compared to other hotels in the city, I think this hotel was excellent. The staff were friendly, everything was as advertised. Good location near to the centre of the city. Perhaps an addition to improve would be a hairdryer in the room.
The hotel is located 15 minutes from the center and attractions. It was generally quiet, but the audibility is very good from the neighboring room. For 2 stars and the price, it is a good hotel.
Excellent cozy hotel, clean, conveniently located - literally 5 minutes to the railway and bus station, to the center - 10 minutes walk.
My room was single, everything is clean everywhere, cleaning is daily, gel / shampoo / little replenished. The room is spacious, several light sources, there is a bedside table, there is a table for work, a large window, but at the same time the room is very warm...
Location and room were good but the toilet had a very strong smell that came back from time to time.
Short break in this hotel near the center with a very good quality-price ratio, a very friendly team who welcomed us very late.
The only downside was very few parking spaces and we were fined for parking on the street near the hotel, so remember to put a small coin in the parking meter even on a Saturday morning.

Basic but functional Formule 1 hotel which seemed to cater largely for contractors. Fine for a stopover.
I rented a room with my daughter, thankfully for just one night. It was awful; there was a musty smell, I think it was coming from the wall covering. Honestly, first and last time I'll ever rent a room in a studio apartment.
Not much room for breakfast. The weather was nice, so we had breakfast outside! But the price was very reasonable. Thank you.
Stayed here on the way to skiing. At €31 euros you honestly don’t get better for three of us. I am tight so opted naturally for the cheapest option. Hotel Montchapet was a great find in visiting Dijon. It's on a quieter street a few minutes from the centre ville and the start of the route de la Chouette.

Incredibly comfortable hotel in the center. The family room is very cozy, stylish and comfortable. As always, we had a great time.
