This distressing experience happened to a family member, and I feel obligated to share their ordeal to warn others.

The property, managed by a letting company, is not only misleading but operates under questionable and unethical practices. The provided address led to the "Porte Mars" area, which even locals couldn’t identify. Despite multiple requests for assistance in English, the responses were exclusively in French, making communication extremely difficult. While the hosts claim to be reachable by phone, they never answered calls or responded to texts, leaving guests stranded.

The company managing these properties appears to engage in underhanded activities. When complaints were raised, the staff became hostile and even violent. They acted as though they didn’t understand English during complaints, but when it came to matters of payment, they suddenly understood perfectly. This behavior is manipulative and unacceptable.

Additionally, when the hotel is fully booked, they rent out rooms they privately own, charging significantly inflated prices. One such property, located at Appartement L3 ARENA Reims Gare Centre, 3 Avenue de Laon, 51100 Reims, France, was reportedly built by the city council. This practice is exploitative, with the hosts prioritizing profit over guest well-being.

What makes matters worse is their use of intimidation tactics to extract money from guests. They have threatened customers with calling the police, but these threats are empty, as the police have no authority in such matters. This behavior is not only unethical but also deeply distressing for guests, especially families.

My family member, traveling with two small children, was left stranded on the streets from 9 PM to 1 AM. The hosts refused to assist or answer any calls during this time. Locals even warned them about the safety risks associated with these properties and their management.

This experience was deeply traumatic and unacceptable. Their behavior is disgraceful, their practices are unethical, and they show no regard for their guests' safety or well-being. Protect yourself and your loved ones—stay away from these properties and the individuals running them.

The room (No. 14) smelled strongly of old cigarette smoke, the fittings in the bathroom were heavily calcified and worn. The toilet also had heavy calcification and other deposits, probably urine scale. The television is hidden in the cupboard and can only be used if you pull it almost out of the cupboard, otherwise you can't see anything. There are no international television channels, only French channels, so you can't even watch the news. The public areas such as the breakfast room and reception appear to have been recently renovated, which would also be urgently needed for the room, if only because of the nicotine smell and the bathroom. Otherwise, the central location is an advantage, within walking distance of the old town. The staff were professional and friendly.
