Nice hotel, excellent staff and nice location. The rooms are a bit small for a mercure brand and the breakfast was a complete let down. The breakfast was not a full spread, very limited. They have a good parking that is underground and is common to both Ibis and mercure.

The lobby is very modern and pleasant. All the staff, from the front desk agents, to the breakfast staff to housekeeping was very friendly and professional. Especially at the front desk the staff is very polite and friendly and speak an excellent English. The location of the hotel is perfect, in walking distance to both abbeys and the Caen castle, as well to many restaurants, bars and even a supermarket. I can only recommend it.

The hotel was very clean and the breakfast was wonderful! The hotel’s location is in the city center, convenient to many dining options. It is located across from the canal and if your window faces the canal, you will have a pretty view. The staff was always very friendly and helpful.

Staff were really good, so friendly and helpful.
The lobby was clean and relatively modern.
Bonus for me was the underground car park, i felt like my car was secure.
The room styling etc was as you would expect for the price but not amazing.
The bed was relatively hard and not too comfortable, but the pillow was terrible. When i left, i noticed a poster in the lift saying they have other pillows if you want to change.
The biggest issues were no soap in the soap dispenser and that the shower had very low water pressure.
Also signs of general wear and no milk provided with the tea and coffee in the room.

i visited the hotel for one night during my stay in Caen beginning of April 25. the hotel is well located near the touristic area in Caen. other than that there is no more advantage the hotel is providing to it s guests.
this hotel is a 4 star hotel, however maybe this is my first time to stay in a 4 star hotel in which its rooms don't have phones so i couldn't call the reception to ask for anything. the rooms don't have any chain lock on the rooms doors so there is no minimum level of security in the rooms, no phones for emergency neither chain locks on the doors.
i am wondering that Accor are taking an amazing initiative in terms of sustainability however they don't really care about the security of their guests.

Very nice hotel conveniently located away from the city center.
Just two things, breakfast ends at 09.30 and sometimes busses with dumb tourists are off loaded. The kind that talks loud and slams doors at 06.30 in the freaking morning.

Room was comfortable during my stay, and I'm glad I stayed here because it was within a short distance of the historic churches in town. Will definitely stay here again next time.

My stay there was not bad as it is within walking distance of many attractions in Caen. The only problems I had are, in the breakfast buffet during my stay, the scrambled eggs were not that good and the bacon didn’t really taste right. My bathroom didn’t have a fan so if you ever have to take a dump, make sure to wave the door around to get the stench out or do courtesy flushes to get rid of it as well. Also there are no peepholes in the guest room doors so if somebody knocks, you can’t tell who’s there until you open the door. Other than those issues my overall stay was okay.
