Really fantastic. Rooms are simple but spotlessly clean and the bed is seriously comfortable. Tick. We paid for breakfast after waking up at 6am with jet lag and it was amazing! Simple, but fresh and lots of local produce - one of the best buffets in years…sorry for eating the whole of that small dark rye and grain loaf!

If you’re arriving by train, this is very convenient (100m walk) and the funky docks area is a 5 min walk. Two supermarkets within 300m and the tram to the beach is similar.

If you come to Le Havre for the first time, and the weather is ok, throw on your walking shoes and just explore through the old streets for a few hours… keep heading up the hill and you’ll be rewarded with views of a friendly, honest and very historic city.

The staff at the Novotel are amazing too - a real credit to the hotel. We will be back!

Friendly reception staff, room was nice and clean and spacious.The bar staff did their best to communicate our order with us. This is where the service all stops.

Breakfast waitresses were rude. I also left three shirts behind. I have rung and emailed them with very little help being given. I just get they fixing it the. The other day I got my shirts have still not been located. You would think there would be a lot and found area where things would be stored for a period of time. They are worth about 115 euro each. I contacted them the day we checked out, so be aware ensure you don’t leave anything behind because getting it returned to you is difficult.

Lack of compassion and hospitality on the staff member (reception desk). Room just okay with some stains on the carpet.

For context: Badly injured my knee, needing continuous bed rest, brace, and crutches. I came after spending 10 hours in the emergency room of a hospital and got transported back to the hotel with an ambulance at 2 in the morning. Asked for a depart tardif to be able to directly catch the train going home at 15.30 (as an ALL Gold tier member for which depart tardif is a complimentary benefit). I was only given an hour (up to 13.00), saying no further availability in the room category for the night and leaving absolutely no room for negotiation. Unfortunately for this staff member I checked online and took screenshots directly from the ALL website and others to realize that the hotel and this room category is not sold out for the night (30 minutes later while waiting in the lobby after they very punctually called to vacate our room, despite knowing my mobility issue).

Extremely disappointed that under this exceptional circumstance the staff at the reception was not willing to compromise or even prolong the depart tardif/late checkout by even another hour or so.

An ALL Gold tier member for 3 years, I’ve never encountered any hospitality issue until this one hotel, where I actually am in dire need of empathy and was given none. Deeply disappointed and would consider elsewhere for another stay in the city. All in all, I feel that this hotel only cares about profit while forgetting that they are in the hospitality business, definitely not up to Accor group’s 4-star hotel standards.

Nearby is the shopping mall, convenient. But there is not enough parking space, so I have to park elsewhere.

The view from the hotel balcony is beautiful.
The check-in at the front desk is very unique and friendly.
It was a good choice for us on a business trip for one day.
