Hôtel & Spa - Thalazur Antibes in Antibes

I have always family visiting me and they stay here for practicality since I live closeby but sincerely this hotel is definitely not a 4 star hotel so if you wish to have such an experience and service find another infrastructure. Rooms and residences are very old, not sound-proof, the staff demonstrate to be not a hosting professional nor in customer service nor in problem solving. The bar is a disaster, apart the high prices, they always forget the orders, you always end up having to take your drinks from the counter and there is no separation area for smokers and non smokers, (everyone smokes!!! Including the staff, in front of your face) that is not even legal I think and also very dangerous for the health of the clients. It is a place where people come to cure themselves, advertised as healthy with rejuvenating, mise en forme, rehabilitation programs blabla but instead you are not even able to sit on the terrace and enjoy the view, that is probably the only positive side of this place, without constantly breathing someone else cigarette or cigar. It is disgusting ! And when I tried to tell the bar manager he answered me that he also likes to smoke when he drinks or has his dinner and things are like this here. This is just an unbearable answer and behaviour.
Food is also average and as said, the only positive point of the restaurant area is the view from the terrace. The proof is also that it is not very much frequented, I guess if it was good also people from outside would come!
The spa is large and overall nice but we did not try any treatments after seeing the level of all the rest and several comments because we did not want to risk a deception and waste money for nothing.
I know that there is a new director of the hotel now but for the moment I do not see any improvement so maybe it is just a decision of the brand to not take care of this infrastructure maybe with the believe that being on the cote d azur there will always be someone coming as new customer.
I really hope things will improve.

My experience at this hotel was very disappointing. I had stayed there a few years ago without any particular problems, but the quality of service seems to have deteriorated considerably since then.

I went to the front desk to ask for a room change because of the loud noise coming from the neighboring room. I had to wait several minutes at the front desk, in the presence of the manager and several staff members, who were discussing, or rather chatting, about another colleague in front of me, without paying me any attention. This situation demonstrates a real lack of professionalism.

The hotel facilities are aging, but the most concerning issue remains the management and customer service. The attitude adopted gives the impression that guests' concerns are not taken into consideration. My request to change rooms was refused and no apology was offered for the wait.

This experience does not meet the expected standards of service.

Ants crawling on us at 4:30 am. Infestation in the room—disgusting. Sleep gone, belongings to clean, and reception’s big “solution”? Hand us another room like nothing happened.
Tried three times to see the manager. The answer? She doesn’t have time for you. Come back after breakfast tomorrow. Oh, sorry—didn’t realize guest problems need an appointment.
And that “luxury” saltwater pool? More like a science experiment. Black stuff growing on the bottom—dirty, gross, and nowhere near what you’d expect for the price.
Unacceptable.

Most disappointing hotel experience. First of all, check-in took almost half an hour, such an unprofessional reception experience is a first for me. Additionally, we were booked for two nights, but no water service was provided each day. When we asked at reception in the evening we were told the water had run out and were directed to the restaurant to purchase some. It's really overkill, not even providing water. In summary, the reception staff here give me a very arrogant impression. I don't know how to give it four stars, even any Airbnb has better service. However, the spa staff are friendly enough, it's just that the reception is really annoying. Additionally, the hotel's location is really remote, a car is required to get there, and public transportation is very inconvenient. In summary, I really do not recommend this hotel, and I will never return.
