Hotel Shogi in Zugdidi

The hotel is very clean, rooms have a decent size and the price is good.

Unfortunately, there is no space to sit outside – no balcony, terrace etc.

Our room was not cleaned during our stay.

In the restaurant below the hotel, there are parties. This means loud music and loud people (and cars) outside. You hear everything in your room making it impossible to sleep.

After we could not sleep the first night because of this, we asked the receptionist if there was a party on the second night, too. The response was “No”. So we assumed we would have a quiet night (at least the second night). If we had gotten the response that there would be a party again, we would have left. So we took the receptionist’s word for granted and stayed. But on that evening there was a party, again. This means we could not sleep this night, either.

The problem is to the total dishonesty of the receptionist. She just lied to us. And this was not language related. I had asked in simple English and she had replied to me very clearly that there would be no loud music. And this was simply not true.

So if you want a quiet place, you should better look for another hotel.
