We spent a long weekend at the Hotel Strandperle, which belongs to the Hotel VI Seasons group – both are supposedly 4-star hotels. Unfortunately, the Strandperle felt more like the less popular sister hotel.

Our attractively furnished room had a large balcony, complete with a beach chair, overlooking the beach.

However, the cleanliness was not what I would expect from a 4-star hotel. When we arrived, the entire floor was still sandy, the toilet was dirty, and there was still trash left by the previous guest in the shower. This was taken care of upon request. However, we then discovered further inconveniences – greasy fingerprints on the windows and closet doors, the balcony looked as if it hadn't been cleaned at all this year, thick dust on the trash can and tissue box in the bathroom, and sand in every corner. The bathrooms are nicely tiled, white inside with black trim on the outside. Unfortunately, there was also a layer of sand and dust on the black tiles. What a shame! The stairwell was also poorly cleaned, so after a brief rain shower, it looked quite grimy.

Furthermore, some additional costs came to light that I would have appreciated being informed about beforehand. The €18 per day parking fee should have been clearly communicated to me in advance, not only after clicking on further amenities details, which I then found on booking.com.

The varied breakfast was located in the main building, a short walk away. This wasn't a problem for us.

However, the lack of cleanliness diminished our overall satisfaction during our stay.

The rooms are not 4 star standard and unfortunately dingy. There is a lack of attention to detail and controlling. Unfortunately, criticism is not responded to. Everything in the main house is great. The breakfast area is absolutely great. Very friendly and attentive staff.
