The hotel was centrally located and had easy walk distance to the nearby castle and marketplace. The room was comfortable and the included breakfast had a wide variety. Several staff members could understand and speak English which helped a lot. I would definitely stay here again!

It's a sort of antique hotel. However, it's worn down and lacks the magical atmosphere it should have. The rooms are small and inadequate (for the price paid). Breakfast options are limited. The waiters are helpful. Being right next to the old city is an advantage. And nice garden .

Great for kids, not so much for adults. The rooms are very large, there's a bathroom, and plenty of outdoor play areas and activities for children. But there's nothing for adults. No spa, no sauna, no indoor or outdoor sports. Only massages from an external provider. The food isn't particularly good either, and when we were there, there wasn't even any music playing. Stay here for work quite often. Have always had a pleasant stay. The Hotel isn't always busy so breakfast might sometimes be limited.

I have visited this hotel several times. All in all it it a good hotel with good service. The only problem is the rooms have no aircondition. Really needed in this hot weather.

This is a nice hotel in the center of Stolberg. The rooms are nice and spacious - we stayed in the annex behind the main building and were very happy with our room. The beds were soft but still comfortable and there is a stream behind the hotel which makes a soothing sound during the night. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and made us want to come back… and we probably will.

Stolberg is a nice little town to visit and location of hotel is almost at mid-point of town. The room was good and clean. The staff at reception were really nice, welcoming, and helpful.

If you're looking for a old fashioned hotel, this is the place. So everything is old, except the wellness section which is the only reason we choose this hotel.

Nice place, friendly and helpful staff and great food. No air conditioning, if your room is on the street side of the hotel forget getting much sleep unless you close all windows and fight the warm stagnet air.

Beautiful hotel with a castle view from the room. Everything is within walking distance. Rooms are very clean and staff is lovely and polite. Gets a bit loud since it's situated next to a fairly busy road but it's not a big deal. We rented the family room with kitchenette and it was nice and spacious. Highly recommend.

Stayed for 5 nights on a Great Rail Journey's holiday. A modern hotel that can cope with lots of large groups. Very comfortable rooms, good facilities. Self service restaurant food can be a bit hit and miss but generally good choice and value. Helpful staff and located within easy reach of the local attractions.

This Hotel was delightful and is a hidden Jem! The hotel is completely new and is of the highest standard, I have ever stayed. The quality of the Room and service was of a the highest standard and the food and Service was Michelin quality. Not being a German speaker did not matter as most of the staff could also speak fluent English.

I have been staying at this hotel for 8 years now and every year that passes things get better, this year was just as comfortable and caring as before. However the bar and restaurant have re-opened and the barmanager is doing an excellent job and was very engaging when i ate there. I will come again!

We enjoyed our 4 days in Magdeburg, the manager promptly sorted out an issue we had with our room and Taqi in the biergarden is very personable. Tram to town is 100 metres away. We will be returning.

The breakfast was not very fresh. After eating only there, I had major stomach problems. the rooms are comfortable but quite noisy from the side where the trams run. I think this is a hotel whose staff is used to serving only older tourists. It seems to me that "dusting it off" and adapting it to a more modern standard would be a good idea.

No AC and if you're in a room at the front (where the sun heats it up) and you open the windows, the noise of the trams from 5am will keep you awake.
