Jagdschloss Hotel Niederwald in Rudesheim am Rhein

If you want a rural location this could be for you. The location is great but the hotel is not. It feels very unloved and soulless. The room was tiny with NO A/C. The welcome was non existent, here is your key & off you go. The food was nothing fantastic. The bar is a joke, don’t be fooled by the pictures it is not manned and we could only use it until 9.30 as the staff lock the hotel up then. Breakfast was rubbish lots of empty bowls with clothes in the make the offering look bigger. We left after 1 night. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Room rates not reliable! We had made a reservation on their website for a 'comfort double room' of € 171, but on the spot we got a smaller room of which a photo on the website is an example of a standard room of € 151, -. When checking out we had to pay € 171, - ! so I showed the photo on their website. We heard several arguments why our room according to them was a comfort room, despite the photo on their own website as an example of a standard room! So we had to pay the € 171, -. So be ware they don't give you room 116 as a comfort room! It is a small room with little space around the bed andthere was no couch (see pictures of the comfort room!). We are very disappointed for their reaction. Be alert if you book a room here. On the other hand the service in the restaurant is very nice!
