I was pleased with the interior and furniture in room. Very comfy bed.

Very nice greeting. Something in the forest. But quiet and still close to Bad Salzuflen and Herford.
Just horrible. While the room and the facility itself are very naturally located and well-kept (even if the room only had the absolutely essentials in terms of space and equipment), the staff is absolutely the lowest level.
The lady at check-in was very abrupt and incompetent - didn't even greet us and make us welcome.
In the evening the hotel was not manned despite prior agreement and we stood for 1 hour together with other guests in front of the locked door. The owners could not be reached by phone.
Only a call to the police ensured that the door was finally opened for us. There was no apology or justification. Nobody was present at the checkout either. The reception was locked. Again no one available.
I recommend anyone reading this to look for alternatives, because there are enough of them in this area!
