I stayed at the Hotel Zur alten Post while I was in Büsum this summer. I added more details in my BlackandPaper magazine. The service was good and the room was really nice. The location was perfect in the center, a few minutes walk from the beach.
The breakfast buffet was perfect with a great selection in a charming setting. Dinner is really popular, deservedly so, I recommend a reservation. Would I say the service? Yes. But in a Germany rough around the edges way.
Yes. I would stay at Hotel Zur alten Post again.

Incredibly warm rooms. Had to have the window open, then there were an incredible amount of insects. One duvet smelled sour. The church bells rang every half hour, impossible to sleep. Been traveling for 5 weeks, this was the worst night. Bad and Expensive. The Food was good.

Celebrated my birthday with my small family here. The hotel room is modern and clean. The location is perfect, in the center, not so far from the sea. The restaurant is good and the food is delicious. the staffs are so friendly.

Wonderful and comfortable newly renovated rooms, super friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast plentiful and something for everyone, here also quick and friendly people. Dinner was amazing, five stars to the cook and the whole staff. Impressive wines and knowledgeable advice. We loved it here.

Have eaten here very tasty lunch, there was a free soup of the totally friendly service. The prices are cheap, there is even a small glass of delicious white wine (0,1) for 1€ ?.
I as a vegetarian haven't eaten a baked potato with chanterelles. My friend pork medallions with hash Browns and a homemade, delicious mushroom-cream sauce.
We can recommend the "Old Post" and we will come in any case again here.

Food was very good!
The ambience is also great (cozy and beautifully Rustic)!
However, the young waiter should take an example in the case of his colleague, what is the Care for the guests. Nevertheless, we were served friendly and the place is generally recommend.

Older, authentic and cozy Hotel. Very dear and friendly staff. Varied and delicious buffet Breakfast. Rooms are bright and friendly furnished. Older people should get a room in the lower floors because the staircase could be in the white guest house may be too steep. You can also dine in the wonderful here. Very tasty. The carpet should perhaps be at the next renovation due to little maintenance, easier to replace, since dogs are also welcome guests.

A table, you could not reserve only for indoors, for outdoors. The "Alte Post" is a secret tip for all who want something authentic, excellent food, attentive service. The Central location next to the Church, 150 m away from the pedestrian area, allows, even in the absolute low season a beautiful holiday. Hotel is especially suitable for aged couples! We will definitely be back!
