We stayed at the **Warteck Hotel** in Freudenstadt for a few days during Christmas, and had an absolutely wonderful experience. Check-in was simple and smooth, and our room was both comfortable and cozy—perfectly warm after a day in the snow. The room featured a mini bar, and the bed had a comforter of the finest European quality—I have never experienced such luxurious bedding before.
Breakfast was included with the room and served in a quaint, upscale, and cozy family-friendly restaurant setting. The spread was incredible, with a wide selection of German specialties, European breads, delicious pastries, cheeses, meats, fresh fruit, coffee, and even sparkling water—it was truly unforgettable.
The staff were exceptionally sweet, attentive, and professional, making our stay even more enjoyable. The hotel is centrally located next to the main square and shopping, and within easy walking distance to major transportation, including the train station for trips to France.
I highly recommend the Warteck Hotel for anyone visiting Freudenstadt—it offers comfort, charm, and excellent hospitality in a perfect location.

The hotel is beautiful, very centrally located, with several shops and parking nearby. The manager is very friendly, we wanted for nothing, everything was perfect: the room, the cleanliness… Even the breakfast was fantastic. Without a doubt, one of our best stops in the Black Forest. We hope to return someday.

This my favorite place to stay in Germany. The food is outstanding, restaurant closed on Tuesday and Wednesday, but if you are there any other day, you must try it. Updated bathrooms. Comfortable bed. Top of the line linens. Staff is wonderful.
