Hotels in Freudenstadt

Unfortunately, I didn't manage to get anyone to check the safe from Saturday to Tuesday. The balcony door isn't working properly and is almost falling out. It's a common occurrence in the hotel, and you just have to push against it, and it will close again.

The freezer door was broken, but the minibar was free; the balcony door was broken, but there was a good view, and the breakfast was richer than that of some high-end hotels. For this price, why would you want a bicycle!

The people who worked there were really friendly and also the breakfast was great. But the building it self and especially the garage/parkdeck, garden was not that nice. I also don't liked the design with the red/white and black and some of the Informations for example the floorprint in the elevator that sayed something like "nicht abstürzen" and showed the depth of the elevator. Great hotel that is private and quiet but only a 10 min walk to the old town.

All staff, except the receptionist at the SPA, were very friendly and helpful, trying to make the guest feel welcomed. We liked a lot the view from our room, the mood in the hotel and the facilities.

Old hotel, excellent staff/ service No air conditioning, very firm mattresses, as can be expected in an older building there were not many plugs for recharging all our devices. Breakfast offered a good selection of options.

Nice time in this facility. Nice spa area. Hiking tours and restaurants are nearby. Check in was a little bumpy. WLAN was non existent in rooms, only in central areas.

Lovely little hotel in Freudenstadt. Could have received a bit of a warmer welcome when we arrived a little too early, but to be honest the lady did redeem herself later on. Room was very nice with views over the grounds. Lovely big shower room, one of the best I’ve had in a hotel. Breakfast was ok, not a lot of pastry choices but was acceptable.

Very nice hotel. Great location, crew are very kind, rooms are clean and cozy. Lots of parking and nice breakfast. The only bad thing is the limited hours of check in and out .

Extremely helpful staff. The room was large , clean and beautifully decorated. The breakfast was very good. Plenty of free parking. We decided to have dinner at the hotel restaurant and we were not disappointed. The meal was fantastic! The property around the hotel is lovely. Worth taking a stroll. Highly recommend this hotel!

We had a wonderful stay at Waldhotel Luise! The room was spacious, clean, quiet, and very nicely designed - a mix of cozy/rustic and modern feel. The breakfast was great, staff were friendly, and the hotel overall was really nice! It was a great base for us to visit the Black Forest area. Would recommend

Was a relaxing stay! The pool was great and so were the rooms. The coffee bar is a bit congested and can’t seat more than 10 people in total.

First impressions were slightly underwhelming, but ignore those, the hotel is excellent and the staff are great. The food was wonderful and the pool was lovely. To swim and watch kites and eagles overhead is a rare pleasure and now a glorious memory. A really nice and elegant hotel in Lauterbad. It offers you everything you need there and everything is really clean and pretty. The wellness service is incredible, relax rooms, saunas, inside and outside pool, massage services, everything you want for a perfect holiday away from the city. It can be found surrounded by the forest and the views are stunning. I recommend this place with all of my heart

Great hotel. The setting is lovely, right in the black forest. The staff is friendly and the speak English. Breakfast is outstanding even among othe German hotels I have stayed in. The only thing keeping it from being 5 stars is that the WiFi is poor at best. It didnt work in my room at all and even In the lobby I could not maintain connection.

A great place to stay and to explore the Northern Black Forest. Rooms are large and confortable and the restaurant is superb, really above average. Dishes are well presented an innovative. The hotel is very quiet at night and has no rooms facing the street (almost no traffic at night). You can have lunch until 4p.m. Dogs are allowed (!?)

We did not stay at the hotel but it is a very nice one. We dined at the restaurant. Food and service were excellent. It was very elegant. I would return there again.

We stayed for 10 days in a category E room, very beautiful room and nice view from the big balcony. The breakfast is good, we only had once dinner as we where a bit disappointed. The sauna and swimming pool are great.

We were there in 2013 before our first child was born. We had a great stay! Now, we are going back in 2024 as a family of four and we are really excited it.

We arrived during the evening hours and someone from the reception greeted us and went over and explained about the room and hotel facilities (inc SPA). Room was super! very large, felt well maintained and clean, and had access to a terrace. The breakfast room and food were absolutely gorgeous. We can go on and on about how beautiful the breakfast room is, and the food and drinks were superb. ...

There is no laundry service so don’t plan on doing laundry. Otherwise, this place is pure heaven!

Likely one of the best hidden gems in Germany. Exceptional staff and location resulted in a restful and rejuvenating stay. The meals were delicious and prepared with local fresh ingredients. The access to the Black Forest is literally steps away; be it hiking or biking. Few suggestions, 1) book a room on the lake side as the road is a bit loud at night and 2) bring a pillow as the ones provided...

A warm welcome and staff were very helpful throughout. Food, drinks and service were excellent. Staff all made good recommendations. I would recommend to anyone - the blood orange spritz was especially delicious.

This hotel is excellent. Friendly, helpful staff, lovely room and excellent bathroom with top class shower and excellent dinner and breakfast. Also perfectly located for exploring Freudenstadt, with the added bonus of free parking. Highly recommended.

Beautiful Restaurant closed only the day we arrived, but someone answered the door and set us all up and had recommended restaurants. Beautiful quiet town.

This my favorite place to stay in Germany. The food is outstanding, restaurant closed on Tuesday and Wednesday, but if you are there any other day, you must try it. Updated bathrooms. Comfortable bed. Top of the line linens. Staff is wonderful.

We spent three nights with family in this hotel. I agree with previous reviews that the hotel is of a certain age. However, it is clean, with good sized rooms, a good bath (shower) room and the balcony was lovely to catch some late afternoon sun. The pool was refreshing. Hotel is located 1500 meters from the center and therefore a long walk there and back. Hotel has some overdue maintenance on the outside. Rooms are sufficiently large and have reasonable sanitary facilities. Unfortunately the beds are not that good anymore and so we had 3 bad nights. There is a super large garden around the hotel, which provides peace and quiet. Breakfast is fine with sufficient choice...

The room was fine but the grounds were quite rundown. We had a "garden view" room but it definitely wasn't a view of a garden - over grown, weeds growing up through the patio. We have been traveling in Europe for a month - 9 different hotels and the breakfast buffet here was the weakest: less selection, frequently had to wait for clean dishes. In my opinion, management needs to spend a little money...

Although located outside of the town, it is a pretty walkable distance to the town centre (Less than 20 mins depending on how fast you walk) but do note that it's not flat. Hotel Teuchelwald is a wonderful place to stay. It is built on a Hill with greeny Parks and flowers. It has a hot swimming pool. An excellent Kirchen and bar with the best rooms. Perfect place to stay in Freudenstadt.

Beautiful views, excellent food and lovely facilities. Unfortunately the town was rather run down.Waiting service at dinner was really friendly but very slow. Waited a long time in between courses. Large spacious room, spectacular views but let down by everything being covered in dust. On the whole didn’t we got value for money.

Nice hotel but not family friendly.. Swimming pool with only certain limited time frame for kids and they really try to make money everywhere they can on top of the booking! But the hotel is clean really nice. For a couple I would recommend

Nice tranquil location. Super friendly and helpful owners who really make you feel at home. Following instructions from Silki, we received a nice walking route upon arrival, which we gratefully accepted. The room/bathroom facilities may be a bit out of date, but everything works and is very clean! Location of Kniebis: About 10km west of Freudenstadt the nearest rail station. Buses to Kniebis from Freudenstadt every hour weekdays or two on Sundays during day. Ideal hiking country with Kniebis at the top of a mountain pass. The town was once a holiday Mecca but lost our to cheep package holidays in 1970/80s and most hotels closed. No shops except petrol station on Black Forest highway which now...

We arrived late in the evening, and were welcomed with a lovely hand written letter explaining where our room is and inviting us to breakfast the next morning. Amazing location on the crossroads of multiple walking paths, and quality service. Overall good experience.

We checked in today and so far we absolutely love it, the food from the restaurant is delicious and prepared with love. We are staying in the apartment and its absolutely perfect for my husband and myself and fits our two large dogs easily.
