Hotels in Baiersbronn

Our stay at Traube Tonbach was a mix of extraordinary highlights and unexpected disappointments. The Schwarzwaldstube was truly exceptional. The kitchen delivered an outstanding performance with remarkable precision and creativity, making every course memorable. The sommelier was equally impressive — knowledgeable, intuitive, and easily among the best we’ve encountered. This part of the experience...

We had such a wonderful experience at Traube Tonbach. The hospitality and care from the staff were truly exceptional. During our stay, my husband lost his wedding band, a family heirloom. The hotel found it, kept it safe, and helped us get it back to the USA after we returned home. I want to especially thank Silke, who went above and beyond for us. The ring had to be shipped multiple times due to...

What an experience! Super high end, 2 Michelin star restaurants in the hotel. Very family friendly!

Our stay was three days, the staff were friendly and very helpful from the moment we arrived. The pool and spa areas were superb, and having Black Forest Gateaux with a pot of tea by the pool was not something we expected to be able to do - but very memorable. The breakfast was epic, it’s plain to see how very proud the chefs are, and this is reflected in the quality and range of breakfast items...

A truly beautiful hotel set in a scenic, peaceful place. Extremely well kept establishment, attended by very friendly and professional staff who attend to all your needs. We dined at one of their restaurants which is dog friendly. The setting is modern and clean. The food was delicious and the service worthy of a luxurious establishment. Breakfast was delicious with so much variety of fresh fruits...

What can I say about this hotel, well only very very good things. Parking was a breeze, then met at entrance to explain next steps, up to reception where we were then shown to our room. The food and service have been outstanding, this is a real gem of a hotel in the Black Forest. We visited here specifically to spend my birthday in a top class hotel and were not disappointed at all. The hotel made...

For some time now, Engel Obertal has been my favorite escape when the days get darker and colder, it somehow makes the rainy season feel like a treat. The hotel itself is fabulous. The restaurant, wellness area, the garden and gym feel like they belong to another world. The gym especially is in a stunning round glass foyer with panoramic views and is equipped with the latest machines kept in excellent...

A dog friendly hotel with special rooms allocated. Our room was beautifully decorated, large and very comfortable. The hotel and it's garden's are immaculately kept. The staff are very friendly and professional in their duties. We enjoyed a delicious lunch. The five course dinner was along par with what you would expect from a Michelin Star Restaurant. The Spa areas were a great experience and relaxing...

Amazing experience .. very luxurious and quiet

The lobby and overall hotel are beautiful, and the location is excellent—surrounded by stunning natural views. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the room service was also good. We stayed at this hotel in June, when the weather was quite hot. Unfortunately, the room did not have air conditioning, nor was there an eco-friendly alternative like a portable or cable-based cooling system. I’m not...

We had a wonderful stay at Engel Obertal. We decided to book a chalet as we brought our dog along, which we through would be more practical. The hotel and the chalet aswell as the whole installations were perfect. We had a wonderful time for our 3 night's stay. The staff was really kind and friendly. The whole area offers perfect opportunities for nice walks, long and short ones. The spa is also very...

Wonderful! The staff, the food, the atmosphere, the walks near by, the spa facilities. We really enjoyed ourselves and we enjoyed the piece of black forest cake on our way home. Many thanks and we look forward to our return. B&G

We had an amazing stay at the Hotel Sackmann. Everything was perfect including sauna area, pools, breakfast, dinner, coffee bar, and available walking routes around the town and near forest and small hills. Beautiful stay overall! If I should mention any feedback on what could have been better, I'd have two things: 1. We stayed via Jochen Schweitzer and received one of the "charm" rooms in the old...

We stayed at Hotel Sackmann for four nights in January and had such a fantastic time. The setting is beautiful and was exactly what we needed after escaping the London grind. The leisure facilities are excellent and my children especially loved the open air pool which was a real highlight. The food throughout the hotel was wonderful and beautifully prepared by a team who are clearly passionate about...

Excellent stay. Perfect hotel with excellent food. Nice rooms and perfect wellness. In the neighbooorhood you can do nice hiking in the Black Forrest. This is our seventh year at Sackmann and we will go back next year !

Lovely hotel. Great facilities. Welcoming staff. We stayed in the old part of the hotel. The rooms were a little outdated, but we were told they are being refurbished soon. Great evening up at the hotel's own lodge up the 'mountain'.

Fantastic hotel! We booked the Verwöhnpension, which includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner—all of which were excellent. The spa area, with its indoor and outdoor pools and various saunas, was also wonderful. The rooms were modern and luxurious, definitely worth the price (can only speak for the updated area). Two minor criticisms: the pools could have been about 2 degrees warmer (especially the outdoor...

One of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed in. The area was beautiful. Staff were so friendly and accommodating

A wonderful hotel situated on the marina with views across to Table Mountain. Close to many restaurants and well as the ferry to Robben Island. The bedrooms are extremely well appointed, and include tea and coffee making facilities, the bed was very comfortable, and there was a seperate toilet. Everything was well thought out, including good lighting in the bathroom. The food in the restaurant was...

The spa was a nice surprise, great pool. The rooms was huge, but no aircon, so very warm in the summer. The bar was never attended, so difficult to get beverages at any time. The food was limited in choice and average quality. But the location is stunning.

A nice hotel in a fantastic location We had a lovely stay in a family suite. Spacious and modern. We would have liked a balcony, however. The beds were comfortable enough, the internet worked great, even when we had several devices connected. The staff are helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet doesn't have loads of choice, but is tasty. The evening meals are the same. A small amount of options...

My wife book a facial treatment 'Classic facial treatment 60 min' I brought her down to the Spa, left her by the pool and arranged with the male attendant on the desk that at 11:00 he would escort my wife to the treatment room. I was waiting for her at 12:00 and a few minutes after she came out. All looked well she said it had been good and the male attendant had been very good getting her from the...

Black Forest Gem A wonderful classic resort in the heart of the Black Forest.

Unfortunately we were not able to sit with our family and friends at dinner. Everyone had an assigned table.

Excellent first experience. So much so, that we are going back for a second visit! 5 star accommodation with high attention to detail. The only item, which came as a surprise, were the dinners. For some reason, the high quality of the breakfast / lunch did not carry over to the dinner - chef change for the evening shift? This was a remarkable disappointment to what was an otherwise excellent experience

We had a great stay here in a very beautiful area. Staff are friendly and professional and could not be more helpful. Pool is lovely and our room was clean and comfortable. Dinner menu is outstanding and the food was beautifully cooked. A few minor points: €4.50 for a small carafe of water is very expensive, it would be good to have a free tap water option with meals. Toiletries were only a very...

Perfect pool and spa to stay outside at sunny days

Very nice hotel, large wellness area that leaves nothing to be desired, the staff is very friendly especially in the dining room, the food on offer was fantastic, we will come again!

Excellent food, lots of bathing options, lovely sauna area, very friendly staff in the restaurant. Criticism: not enough hooks in the bathroom, as the towels always have to be dried. Staff at the reception were unfriendly.

Management should be present in the restaurant, contact customers with a smile, go to the tables, etc. instead of being confined to staying behind the bar and making drinks and policing the arrival time at breakfast. (telephone in the room to find out if we were arriving, it was 10:05 a.m. and the breakfast service lasts until 10:30 a.m.) without forgetting turning off the lights at 10 p.m. on the...

Quiet Black Forest accommodations. Friendly and helpful staff at a nice hotel in a quiet corner of the Black Forest. Dining was very good, and while the breakfast was not elaborate it was tasty and staff kept the buffet stocked even during a morning rush. All in all a good value.

Excellent hotel and very polite service

Friendly, good food, inexpensive

Awesome breakfast good locqtion. Highly recommend. Stuff is super nice and helpfull

Lovely hotel in a beautiful area. We’ve stayed there as a family twice and can highly recommend it! Very friendly staff, clean and well-kept hotel, and a delicious breakfast.

We took an apartment in this cosy hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is near the train station. It has a 15m heated swimming pool, sauna, salt room, special showers and steam room. Really nice place to relax

Exquisit place, friendly faces of owners waiting for you moment you walk through the door. They will take you for a round through hotel so you can see all the hidden jewels ( steam bathroom, sauna, swimming pool, jacuzi in terase, salt room, etc). Service is great, people are kind and they will make you feel as you are at home. There is a large menu for breakfast, so anyone can pick his favorite...

What a perfect experience. Every part of this place is an absolute joy. (There is one caveat but first the great) Breakfast is beyond fantastic! There is something for everyone. Cured meats, varied assortment of cheeses, all types of jams and honeys and warm breads, various cereals, granolas and yogurts, eggs cooked many ways, salads, lox, pates, etc etc. Can't miss! The spa is a tremendous treat...

It is a hidden germ in the Black Forest. Outside looks humble and you would feel it is pricing. However, when you get into your room and have the gorgeous breakfast, you feel good and your every penny here is well spent.

You’ll notice that in the Black Forest most restaurants are likely to be situated inside a hotel that’s not always what a traveler wants. So it was pretty cool to find this restaurant catering for different tastes with a good service and the prices are still very competitive. It’s worth a visit when in the area.

This restaurant was one of the few open at 15.00 on Monday in this small town, so we decided to give it a try after a long hike. The staff was kind and served as immediately. The food was very delicious, especially the dish with regional mashrooms.

Very nice wedding avenue, if a bit hard to reach/find if you're not from around here. Good service, pretty outside area

Great experience. Food was excellent. Must try the Moscow mule (drink). Awesome

Good location with a pleasant atmosphere and kindly service. Ideal for events and groups ...or even for a coffee break. Only small play ground or outdoor oppertunities...Long waiting time for dinner was not really a issue the excellent food was in that case the gratification and all guest got food on the same time...

Arrived late but were made welcome. Were just in time to order a meal which was superb. Fine selection of food and drink. Had my favourite continental breakfast on a six day trip. Rooms were faultless. Would definitely stay again. Thank you.

Located in beautiful surroundings with plenty of options for hiking and biking, Apartment as such is spacious and clean but the mattresses could be bit firmer. Only major downside of this property is its check in process, says 7 pm cut off for checkin and the phone number displayed on there website is non functional. Finally after raising it with ******* the owner of the property came back with the...

Lovely, intimate, excellent space. What a cute inn to start our trip in Germany. Absolutely loved the town of Baiersbronn and the hotel staff were very kind and helpful. The balcony in each room is a wonderful touch. Bathrooms are very compact, but have everything you need. Excellent accommodations for the price.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Very well kept and clean. Fabulous bar restaurant only 5 to 10 minutes away on foot. Would certainly love to use again.

the photographer did a good job. the reality doesn't look like the photo at all. The hotel is dated and doesn't worth the money, parking space is limited

Real room is quite different from the photo

Nice 2 day stay Nice stay friendly staff.

Superb stay in a quiet location in the Black Forest with a pleasant wellness area PROS + The proximity of the mountains, where superb hikes (of all levels) await you. + The exceptional cleanliness of the hotel! Although it has remained in its original state: the annex (containing rooms and wellness area) has been preserved as it was, 1980s?, and has not undergone any renovation. + The pleasant wellness...

Cosy old style hotel Typical german service, sober but good Diner had very fresh and delicious salad buffet. Very clean rooms. We enjoyed a very peacefull stay with an amazing view from the balcony. Only 2 negative points: The hotel is not friendly for the disabled traveler. There was little choice for breakfast. There was little choice of things to eat and the coffee was not that great. Overall a...

We spent a very enjoyable week at the Hotel Waldlust . I booked our stay with the hotel directly as their half board deals were very reasonably priced. On arrival we were upgraded to a room in the Guest House which is much more convenient for the swimming pool and spa area. Our room was a generous size with a small sofa and an outside patio with loungers. Breakfast is served in the guest house...

Very nice coffee and cake. Helpful friendly service.

Stopped for a refreshing drink, friendly prompt service.

A very great hotel! Was here for 3 days for hiking. The rooms are very comfortably furnished and very clean. The breakfast is absolutely sufficient, every day fresh rolls / breads, muesli, spreads, eggs, juices, yogurt etc .. The only thing I missed here was soda. The rooms are in the adjoining building above the economy. Free parking spaces are available. I received a very warm welcome. The wellness...

Very nice staff, and excellent food on mornings and on evenings. Some places were bit hot, with a lack of ventilation, but it doesn't feel like a deal breaker. This was a very nice surprise that we can recommend.

One of the finest hotel ✌️

The restaurant is very good. A positive waiter, delicious food and overall a nice experience. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends.

5/30/2019had fresh fried in pan lightly beaded fish in orange-lemon sauce had small very fresh salad bar excellent beer and wine. had a baked apple pie like dessert best meal in our 10 day drive through black forest

What a lovely two night stay! This wellness hotel is one of the nicest places we've stayed at in Southern Germany in regards to value for money. The sauna and wellness facilities are luxurious, with a beautiful Mediterranean flair, the room (double, comfort) very spacey and clean, the bathroom newly renovated and fresh. We are travelling with a 10 month old baby and had all the amenities we could...

Big dog. Small foodportions. Very clean and tidy rooms, relaxing swimming pool. Breakfast buffet is allright

This is one of my favourite hotels in the Black Forest, have stayed here several times now while I’m touring Europe. The food in the restaurant is great and the staff are friendly, the rooms are comfortable both the double rooms and the bijou single rooms. I am planning on returning next year for my 6th time of staying here.

Great experience We had a 3 nights stay at Hotel Lamm, during our 3 weeks tour around Germany, this was honestly the best 3 nights. Room was spacious, it was very clean & the service was top. We ate in in the onsite restaurant all nights and food was good, breakfast was equally amazing.

Really nice service and staff. Very clean good spa but missing the really cold shower or cold plunge pool (the barrel is too small 🤗

Had a wonderful visit to Hotel Lamm. Everything in the hotel is really well executed, amazing room with lots of space and light, really nice spa facilities and pool, great food at breakfast and again at dinner. Really creative, comforting food and a diverse selection each night. Warm and friendly service throughout the hotel, I could not recommend more. Can't wait to visit again.

Would definitely go back. This is the 3rd time I’ve stayed at the Lamm, the 2 previous times it was as a couple this time I was a solo traveller. I had a single room and was pleasantly surprised (not having stayed in a single room before) the room had a fridge that came in handy, and a view of the valley from the balcony. The balcony had a seat so could chill out on. The restaurant was fully booked...

Great location , helpfull staff , we don’t speak German which made it a little difficult but would stay at hotel agin

Amazing location, excellent service. Delicious restaurant and expecially backyard with beer garden. I definitely comeback again.

The hotel is very clean in a beutifull area with river mountain and forest view. Food was delicious. Vlad the owner is so nice and did everything to help us feel welcome. Locted in a great location close to many cities. we traveled to Germany, Swiss and France so it was close to all countries.

Very nice, right on the river.

The room was very clean, the view was beautiful, and the manager was kind and very friendly, supporting me a lot. Discounts on food and free laundry support for me

We stayed one night at the hotel and had an overall very good experience. The staff were really friendly and happy to help with any questions. It was great that we could have dinner at the hotel restaurant. In the morning, the breakfast was also perfect, with a variety of options. Rooms can be booked either in the hotel (with a private bathroom) or in the hostel section (with a shared bathroom).

Stayed at this hotel for the March 1 holiday. stayed for 3 nights Very much liked the food, the chefs a special respect, very cool cook, dishes at the highest level. Service, check-in was very fast. When there were questions, the administrator quickly found a solution, within 10 minutes my question was solved. At the event was karaoke, entertainment program. Location, very beautiful natural place...
