Absolutely amazing hotel on the edge of a fantastic series of forest walks. Out of all the hotels we stayed in during our 2 1/2 month stay in Europe, this is the only hotel where the staff are truly joyous and cheerful. From the front desk personnel to the breakfast room staff, the humour and attitude of the staff is fabulous. I believe that this comes from the owner of the hotel directly. He is awesome!!! The hotel is meticulously clean. The rooms are comfortable and bright. Breakfast is a typical European breakfast but all items are fresh and of excellent quality. You get more value per dollar paid than the majority of hotels. We would go back anytime!!!

Good place to spend a night for a cheap price. Airplanes from the airport are not very loud. Cleaness is ok. Breakfast is very simple. With good quality food, but no scrambled eggs etc.

Simple Hotel, very far away from Esslingen located 6km in the area of commercial enterprises. No Elevator, despite the 3 floors. After 18 p.m. the Reception is not busy! Access for pre-booked guests only a code number at the entrance. Everything is very impersonal !
Unfriendly Staff. Although there is a telephone in the room, but if it was not reserved at the front Desk, the phone in the room from the outside cannot be selected. Impossible... there's no note at the time of booking or on the internal side!

Lack of Information in the room or at the reception about the bus service and location of the next Stops. This review is my personal experience and impressions

The staff is amazing! They went out of there way to assure that we were placed in the room we desired! They provide a very good variety for a Continental breakfast! This hotel is not in a tourist area. If you happen to be in Berkheim for any reason this is a nice place to stay!

Absolutely awesome. One off the best places we stayed at in Europe in this price range. Location is a bit of the beaten track which makes it quiet and relaxing. At the same time it's very easy and convenient to reach Stuttgart Centre and other places by public transit. A very cosy country inn across the fields in tranquil setting can be reached by foot within a few minutes. But what makes this hotel really special is the people. The entire staff is really happy which translates in much better than everage service. We spent two month in Europe and this place gets 6 stars out of 5 from us.
