Flair Hotel zum Schiff

Warm Welcome. Clean Room. Clean Bathroom but something can be improved like the shower cabin. Parking Site (covered) at a 5 minutes walk. Good Position in front of Boden See. Good Breakfast and wide offer. A good place to stop.

We had a Double Superior room with a lake view. The view from the room was beautiful! The room itself was decently large (by German standards, in my opinion). We were able to fit our stroller comfortably inside the room and we rented a crib (a pack n'play that came with a little baby pillow and comforter) and still had enough room to get around without crashing into everything. The breakfast buffet is a pretty good spread with a variety of foods from bacon & eggs, rolls with various meat and cheese options, yogurts and fruits.
The Cons: There were a total of 3 lights out in our room, the soap dispenser by the sink was broken and he pillows were really flat. The staff was extremely friendly but seems a bit disorganized. We had to tell them if we wanted the room cleaned each day or not (for Covid precautions), and decided against cleaning and yet they still came each day even when we repeated they didnt need to.
Parking is also a bit of an issue. The hotel is in a pretty busy spot on the edge of the main Downton strip. We couldn't find any temporary parking close by on the street so we pulled into the small strip in front of the hotel. It is pretty narrow and there was an insane amount of pedestrian traffic and bikers flying by, making backing out very difficult. They do however offer a nice garage parking option a few minutes walk away.
