Reviews
But I must say Storchen has let me down. The pictures on google are misleading. While those nice rooms may exist, for sure I wasn’t lucky enough to get one :(.
The building is old and once you enter the hotel it smells like old.
Our rooms were very small and the matress way too to soft - and so old that they were shaped to lean to one side. Had to use the pillow not to fall down during the night.
The wooden floor was not washed - someone may have spilled something, because you could see the traces.
Breakfast at a partner Gasthaus 200m away was ok, but to get out in the morning (it was raining), to get your breakfast and then return isn’t just the perfect way to start your day.
Whereas the disadvantages of having an old building are obvious, some of them can be easily turned into advantages with a little creativity. But as they say: cleanliness is next to godliness… unfortunately in such a competitive hotel environment, Storchen won’t be on the list for my future trips to Ravensburg.
Completely overpriced.
They charge way to much the night for what they offer. Worst experience in Ravensburg trying to have breakfast at their "buffet" was a nightmare,
