This remote location and beautiful lake made the stay here awesome. I have hiked to this lake dozens of times throughout my life while visiting family and friends and it’s one of my favorite places to see. The lake water is cold and refreshing and the hotel has very nice clean rooms and views along with great food and nice staff. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a low tech nature retreat.

We discovered this restaurant by chance. It was such a lovlely location with a really good menu we decided to book for dinner. The venison goulash in particular was superb. The potato soup was divine. All five of us enjoyed if so much we went back the following night to try the rest of the menu. Love their spatzle. If you are hungry go there! Do it! Eat!

Review is only for the service at the restaurant. The place is located about 20 meters from a clear nice swimming lake. We went to the lake with our two kids to swim and so we didn’t bring any streetclothes. The kids got hungry and we hoped to have a small lunch at the nice looking restaurant. However as we waited to get a table a very rude woman told us we are not allowed to sit while wearing bathing suits. Keep in mind that it is right next to a swinging lake. So we got some fries, a beer and a latte to go. The fries and beer were good but the latte was lukewarm.

A beautiful location... food was excellent with a good choice breakfast. The toilet and shower rooms are shared on corridor but we're always clean.. some traffic heard at night.. we stayed room 8 and 2 x toilets were opposite. View from bedroom was perfect. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Evening meal could only be reserved from 6pm - 6.30pm... which was a little early for ourselves.. Good venue if you want to walk /Hike. The Apple strudel was best we'd ever had. Parking free

Amazing place! It is beautiful, the location is easy to find, also can park your car. The rooms are old school, toilet and shower are on the corridor, in your room you have a sink only. Everything is very clean. But the mood is very nice and calm.
The staff is so very helpful and everyone walks with a smile on their face. 😊

The restaurant is comfy with classic design but with a modern feeling. And the food...!!! This was the best of the best we ate the whole week in Germany!!! The kitchen closes early, the last order can be given at 18:30, but it totally wotrth it. Try their Käsespätzle! 😎 You're usually with car in this area. Do yourself a favour and have at least a dinner here (even if the old school room is not your style)! 😉

My fiance and I stopped here on a road trip through Germany. The staff was so nice and the location is so so beautiful! It is a nice private retreat away from the bustle of Fussen and tourist areas. The turquoise lake and mountains behind it are amazing. The included breakfast was sooo good and versatile! We swam in the water and drank beer in the evening by the peaceful surroundings. They have beer to take from a fridge that you get charged for after - for after the staff leaves. The beds and rooms are a bit dated but everything is very very clean including the shared the bathrooms/showers. We will be back!

Gorgeous location with the most peaceful lake!! The staff were wonderful, the floorboards a bit creaky but the beds were comfy and the rooms well laid out. A great selection for breakfast including a waffle machine (very exciting!) and plenty of parking. The road to the hotel is a bit windy but really takes you into nature and away from everyday life... We actually booked last minute after our campsite got flooded but it beat all expectations - Would definitely recommend and hope to be back soon

Staff are just so sweet, they really made us feel welcome. Our room was cute but also clean. We had a room with a view of the lake. If you have dinner in the hotel restaurant, I highly recommend the Käsespätzle with small salad. Yumm, but also really rich & filling. They gave us a special discount card to use in the local town of Füssen & surrounding castles. Great as we were planning on going to Neuschwanstein Castle & Hohenschwangau Castle as well as the museum housed in the gothic castle, Hohes Schloss. Will definately have to come back with doggo in tow, as so far pretty much everywhere in Southern Germany is dog friendly.

Nature, beauty, idyllic setting, old old rooms with creaky floors. Early morning swims in the lake. So perfect. Such a romantic and beautiful place. Slight improvement could be if restaurant was open every evening.
