I had a very disappointing experience. The service was extremely poor, with long delays and little to no communication. The staff seemed uninterested in helping and did not address my concerns properly. Overall, it was frustrating and far below expectations. I would not recommend this based on my experience. The german old woman was very rude.

Clean and nicely appointed accommodation. Location is great and just a short walk to downtown. Hotel staff was warm and welcoming.

Very comfortable room with a delightful enclosed sunroom balcony looking out over the village and the hills, including distant mountains. Very convenient for walking around Triberg and some local restaurants and also for driving to local sights and a couple that were not-so-local.

Pleasant , clean hotel in a good location. Great access to waterfall, directly opposite Hotel. Unfortunately our Reception experience wasn't great. The female member of staff in Reception was very abrupt, bordering on rude, when i arrived. Not one smile and most unfriendly, which was a shame as it seems to be a nice hotel.

Rooms comfortable. Staff helpful. Stairs annoying. Breakfast was plentiful. Dinner was tasty and good size portions. The garden are was so relaxing.

A delightful family run hotel.
We stayed in this delightful family run hotel in Triberg for the night. The proprietors were so very helpful on our arrival and provided us with uncover parking for the motorcycle. We had a ground floor room in the annex building with a beautiful view of the town from the wonderful balcony area. The bed was very comfortable with crisp fresh linen and fluffy pillows. The bathroom was small but comfortable with good water pressure for the shower.
The hotel is well maintained and the garden and courtyard make for a relaxing place to unwind.
Be aware - there is no lift at this hotel due to the age of the property and there are many stairs and it is situated on a steep hill.

My wife and I stayed at this lovely hotel for a week in June. It is in one of the best locations possible. It is very close and just a short easy walk to Triberg falls (the main attraction in town) and it is super close to the main downtown area. The owner/chef, Markus Ketterer, is amazing and provides the best food in town! Plus he is a very nice man. The hotel is really nice and family owned/operated for over 4 generations. I will say here again!

Our room was small, but had an additional sunroom off the side. It was nice to look out at the fog on the mountains. The hotel was up quite a steep hill, however. It might not be good for someone who cannot do that climb. It is very close to a beautiful waterfall.

Close to all but no wifi
There was an arrow on the door saying to go downstairs, so Entrance was confusing and staff was condescending when we finally got in. And wifi was only valid for 30 minutes per device with no option to purchase more time. But location was great and it was a nice room.

Such a beautiful restaurant. Nice and friendly service, food selection is ok. A bit disappointed with the famous black forest cake there, kind of dry. But overall, we still enjoyed it.

Great location and that’s all the positive.
The old guy who checked us in and showed us the bedroom could barely speak English (working in the tourism industry and unable to speak English????). No blackout curtains in the room, bed so uncomfortably soft (and with blue-ish sheets!!!!), shower holder broken (so we had to shower holding the shower-head with one hand....). Breakfast disappointing: no pastries, no fresh fruit. But they gave each table a pot of coffee 👍. Won’t recommend this hotel.

Food was mediocre, service was horrible! The waitstaff was rude and not helpful. When asked a question about the menu, they ignored it and insisted on getting the order because they had a lot to do. Soup and salad dressing tasted watered down. Entrees were not great.

We just ate at the restaurant. Amazing food and funny waiter! Food was totally worth the price and it was served well on time. In a while crocodile!
