Hotel Garni Lehrertal in Ulm

I stayed for a conference at the university, and it was quite convenient due to its location. The 24/7 check in was nice too. It offers what is stated on the website. I would recommend choosing the room with a shower included. I was in a room facing the main street. With the window open it was noisy but if closed, the isolation was very good. I also heard the tv from some of the rooms next to me, but not extremely annoying. The breakfast was nice and complete. The only negative thing I would say is the smell of the room, that was like dust or some weird cleaning product. I think it was because of the carpet.

I used this hotel on my way back from Munich to Holland, booked it through Booking.com.

Check in was very easy, at the back of the hotel there is a check-in machine that makes it easy to check in, very convenient if you arrive in the late hours, you don't have to worry about that you will be standing in front of a closed reception.

The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable.

Prices were good also and they offered a good healthy breakfast full with different type of breads, cheese, meats, yoghurt, some veggies, nuts and seeds for the yoghurt, fruit juice and of course Coffee.

The location is great, it's near the city centre off the historic city of Ulm.

Parking space for free in front of the hotel.

Extra compliments to the very friendly, intelligent and beautiful elegant lady of Romanian heritage that works there.

I had a pleasent chat with her about history, her country of origin and some other topics. Really enjoyed that conversation.

Easy to find and easy to park in front of hotel. Location is OK opposite the main rail depot, but didn’t hear any noise. Arrived late and had been given an entry code for back door in advance as reception was only open until midday, and told my room card would be waiting. Unfortunately room card was not there so had to phone for help. Got a quick call back and instructions how to use the check-in machine at the back door, which then dispensed a key card. It was a hassle I could have done without after travelling all day but I guess easy enough to solve and got an apology from the receptionist lady the next day so no harm done. Decent sized room, spotlessly clean, bed comfy, but quite dated furniture and curtains. Nice touch both still and sparkling water provided; quality soap in shower. Breakfast room very pleasant and traditional style. Good selection of buffet items OK for the one night I was staying. Maybe would be tiresome if you were staying several days. Quick and efficient check out. Would certainly use again for an overnight if back in the area. Nice artwork looks like by the owner’s kids (?) on the walls.

Location is good. You can reach the old city of Ulm by 20 minutes walk. The staff is nice , kind and polite. Size of bathrooms is not appropriate, some bathrooms are small. Rooms are generally clean and have enough facilities to live comfortably. Prices are somehow not so high nor too low. In total, if you are looking for a room just besides ulm city, this could be the choice.

Nice run home. Cozy, chic rooms. Everything was clean. Also, the Breakfast is inviting. The location quite Central.
