Overnight stop on journey through Europe Just what we needed in terms of type of hotel, parking and location close to the river and restaurants. Breakfast was good value.

Value for money
simple, clean and more than adequete for business and solo traveller. transportation is easy ( 5 minutes walk to tram station direct to Basel). Save £££ copmare to Basel with a tiny room

Everything you need for a brief stay
Everything I needed. Trams into the city were very regular from 10 min walk. Friendly landlords. Plenty of shops. Value for money

The property appears a little dated but that may be its attraction for some. My room was on the top (second) floor but there is no lift and that’s awkward with luggage. Breakfast finished too early for me to take advantage of it. The en suite shower room was a very good, spacious room. The bed was adequate but not luxurious. I thought I’d booked a hotel in Switzerland but it turned out to be in Germany! Check out the border positions before you book.😁

This hotel has the flavor of a native Baden guesthouse. The owner is very friendly and supportive, e.g. in my case I arrived around midnight due to late flight to Mulhouse. Breakfast is simple and German-style, served in a living-room-alike saloon. The room was clean, quiet and sufficient for business trip. The main station of Weil am Rhein is approx. 10 min walk away, while tram line 8 brings you to Basel. Be prepared to show your passport when returning back crossing the border in CH-＞DE direction!

Awful experience. Would not recommend.

No-one was at the property to let us in. No clear instructions when booking as to what to do if no-one there to check you in. Sign on door was in German so could not understand? Area didn't appear to be particularly safe either.

Ended up staying at another property, a short drive away in Basel. Best decision for us.
