Excellent stay! The location is perfect, with spacious and convenient parking. The room was clean, modern, and very comfortable. Breakfast was tasty, and the receptionist was extremely pleasant and helpful

The hotel is small, but has a good location, decent breakfast, and is close to supermarkets and cafes. It's also relatively quiet at night.

It is an IBIS and that is what you are getting. I thought value for money was too high but there was really a lack of alternatives. Room was good, breakfast acceptable and even the car park was good

Glasses for brushing teeth were available near the reception if you need them. Overall, it’s good enough for a short stay

Super happy with this hotel!! In the middle of everything we wanted to see in Bamberg! Very clean, very modern rooms (Loved the shower!!) and just the right size. Bed was firm (awesome) and pillows were just right

The staff are really friendly and helpful both with me and my teen children! It’s only a short walk to the centre of town, or along the river to the Old Town and Cathedral. The rooms were comfy and amazing value *****

This hotel doesn't have King beds. Gym is not free and very small. Over priced due to lack of competition. Location is not good, but view is good.

Like the other Welcome Hotel in Bamberg the buffet breakfast is understanding with a great range of German breads and rolls

The location is good as it’s walking distance from the old town. It is also convenient that there is a parking garage underneath the hotel. It’s shared with the concert hall, but should have ample spaces

It's a good hotel, some 15 minutes outside of the main attravtions area.

Extended my stay a day, thanks to a super helpful front desk clerk. Everything’s in walking distance- and such a beautiful city!

This is by far the best hotel I've stayed at during my trip to Romantic Road. It's clean and well-managed, the staff are very friendly, and the location is great for sightseeing on foot

The best hotel of our three week trip through Western Europe. Clean room, great breakfast, friendly staff at a remarkably low price.

Good wi-fi, clean room, very spacious with a sperate lounge, bedroom, toilet and bathroom. Had a lovely window that opened so you could stand outside it and see the view. The staff spoke English and were very helpful.

I chose not to include breakfast when I made the reservation, but I'm glad I added it when I checked in. The breakfast selection isn't extensive, but it's all delicious, and the restaurant has a great atmosphere

Good hotel in a good location, short walk from the train station and short walk into town. Hotel is a bit older but definitely well above the standard of a North American Best Western

Best western stands out in this aspect as the behavior is consistent among all staff, friendly and polite regardless of race or language. The bonus was, free laundry in the hotel though they charged a small fee 0

Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Excellent English which helped with our broken German, lol. Hotel and room were exceptionally clean. Our room, 332, was quiet and right next to the free guest laundry

The room has a/c, but don’t expect cooling like in the USA. It was 85°F during the day and 60°F at night when we were there. The a/c is just enough to keep the heat at bay, but it is not cold

We are used to Texas summers and we were comfortable. Our son slept on the sofa bed (full size) and it was just as comfortable as our bed. There is also an electric kettle

We had problem with the washing machine due to language barrier and the staff came and explained how it worked. She even apologised for not having English instructions

A very nice hotel in agreat location. We could easily walk to old town and the market square. The only thing is that there are not coffee makers in the rooms. You had to pay downstairs for coffee

Good place to stay with kids. Two story rooms, WiFi, breakfast, and walking distance to everything. Very close to train station if you're traveling by rail.

The Hotel National has its own charm and a lot of old but beautiful furniture. Bathroom was clean, bed comfortable, reception friendly and the Breakfast buffet very tasty and neat

We booked the hotel late but did not receive by email the code keys for the outdoor neither for the room. A guest in the hotel helped us to contact the hotel manager to get the codes. Othervice we will recommed the hotel

A View! First, the hotel reception counter is also the cake display. What a welcome! The location is a long uphill walk from the center but doable for the fit and best in sunny weather conditions

Free parking within the fenced area of the hotel in what seems like a safe and secure neighborhood. The rooms are nice sized although the bathroom very small, yet efficient

The rate i paid was amazing, even though it wasn't quite in the center. The room was smallish, but i loved how modern and neat it was. Didnt try the breakfast, but it looked good

This hotel has it: very romantic, super central, good cuisine, good rooms, and a price to match the location, feels, and tourist interest. If you have the money to spare, this is the place to spend it.

It was very busy but in a good way, there were plenty of staff on hand to cater. Slightly pricey but that is to be expected at a hotel in such a tourist-heavy location

Overall a good hotel to stay at. Good price, killer AC (especially needed when it was 36+ outside), very quiet, and nice rooms. Rooms aren’t that big, but for a couple or solo person, it’s perfectly adequate IMO

Breakfast is fine for the price, nothing exceptional but good enough. Location is probably the biggest con to the hotel, but it’s close enough to bus stops that getting to the city center really isn’t that hard

The hotel is wonderful, with friendly staff and more than enough to get by. There is a supermarket about 1km away and a few restaurants close by. The old town is a bit far away with about 2

The only downside: parking spaces are a bit limited – if you arrive late, you might need a bit of luck. Otherwise, absolutely recommendable!

Booked the room literally last minute and after the possible check-in times (during covid restrictions) and literally for the first weekend that hotels are open since long time! Everything was perfect and designed for a great stay: - amazing welcome manager - nice and spacious rooms (with really good pillows - nice breakfast (buffet) - superb position!

Turning left from the hotel there is a square that marks the path to the old town hall over the river. Opposite the plaza is the market street. All so close as is the river walk to Hain Park with its spa on the bank

We loved this hotel! My family of 5 stayed here for 1 night. The hotel was conveniently located, clean and we were able to stay in a family room that accommodated all of us. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a very helpful receptionist and even though the info centre was close by, we never needed to go there as she imparted useful info tailored for us and the locale

The stairwell was nice and we used the lift initially for our bags. The street had a celebration one day, closed with stalls out front and music at both ends of the street
