The staff are really friendly and helpful both with me and my teen children! It’s only a short walk to the centre of town, or along the river to the Old Town and Cathedral. The rooms were comfy and amazing value *****

This hotel doesn't have King beds. Gym is not free and very small. Over priced due to lack of competition. Location is not good, but view is good.

Like the other Welcome Hotel in Bamberg the buffet breakfast is understanding with a great range of German breads and rolls

The location is good as it’s walking distance from the old town. It is also convenient that there is a parking garage underneath the hotel. It’s shared with the concert hall, but should have ample spaces

When also considering its close proximity to the shopping street, the Sand Strasse, and the Town Hall, it is the best hotel for tourists that are looking for a slightly more elevated stay with the option to walk to most sightseeing locations in Bamberg

We did not take advantage of the breakfast. It was quiet away from all the business. Just ride around the block about a 7 to 8 minute walk to the old town. The rooms were quirky but big and spacious

The town where the hotel is located is very beautiful, and the window of the room I stayed in is also beautiful. I was awakened by the chirping of birds outside the window in the morning

Good wi-fi, clean room, very spacious with a sperate lounge, bedroom, toilet and bathroom. Had a lovely window that opened so you could stand outside it and see the view. The staff spoke English and were very helpful.

I chose not to include breakfast when I made the reservation, but I'm glad I added it when I checked in. The breakfast selection isn't extensive, but it's all delicious, and the restaurant has a great atmosphere

Best western stands out in this aspect as the behavior is consistent among all staff, friendly and polite regardless of race or language. The bonus was, free laundry in the hotel though they charged a small fee 0

Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Excellent English which helped with our broken German, lol. Hotel and room were exceptionally clean. Our room, 332, was quiet and right next to the free guest laundry

No washcloths (common in Germany), so bring that if you use them. Parking is secure and approx 18€ per day. Recommend a vehicle no larger than compact SUV for ease of parking. Free WiFi with a fast connection

The room has a/c, but don’t expect cooling like in the USA. It was 85°F during the day and 60°F at night when we were there. The a/c is just enough to keep the heat at bay, but it is not cold

We are used to Texas summers and we were comfortable. Our son slept on the sofa bed (full size) and it was just as comfortable as our bed. There is also an electric kettle

We had problem with the washing machine due to language barrier and the staff came and explained how it worked. She even apologised for not having English instructions

A very nice hotel in agreat location. We could easily walk to old town and the market square. The only thing is that there are not coffee makers in the rooms. You had to pay downstairs for coffee

The Hotel National has its own charm and a lot of old but beautiful furniture. Bathroom was clean, bed comfortable, reception friendly and the Breakfast buffet very tasty and neat

We booked the hotel late but did not receive by email the code keys for the outdoor neither for the room. A guest in the hotel helped us to contact the hotel manager to get the codes. Othervice we will recommed the hotel

Structure is not too new, but with refurbished bedrooms and comfortable, you reach the town centre with a stroll of a few minutes. Excellent accommodation of bicycles

Comfortable, spacious apartment We (2 adults) stayed in an apartment style room for 5 nights. It had a kitchen and dining /sitting area and separate bedroom and bath. The rooms were spacious and comfortable

The room was on the smaller end but beds were comfy and clean. We didn't spend much time in the room as there is so much to do within walking distance so the size was exactly what we needed.

And we don’t say that lightly. Plush, supportive, and inviting, the bed alone is reason enough to make a return visit. While some reviews were lukewarm on the breakfast experience, we found it to be absolutely lovely

A tiny touch that made a big difference. Of course, no stay is complete without a dash of the unexpected. In this case, a life-size statue of E. perched casually on the lanai. But somehow, it only added to the charm

This hotel has it: very romantic, super central, good cuisine, good rooms, and a price to match the location, feels, and tourist interest. If you have the money to spare, this is the place to spend it.

It was very busy but in a good way, there were plenty of staff on hand to cater. Slightly pricey but that is to be expected at a hotel in such a tourist-heavy location

A View! First, the hotel reception counter is also the cake display. What a welcome! The location is a long uphill walk from the center but doable for the fit and best in sunny weather conditions

Free parking within the fenced area of the hotel in what seems like a safe and secure neighborhood. The rooms are nice sized although the bathroom very small, yet efficient

The room was spacious, clean and quiet, but there was no air conditioning or fan. Fortunately, the temperature was only 13 degrees at night when we stayed there, so we had a comfortable night

This was perhaps the 3rd time that I have stayed at this hotel. The staff is invariably friendly, efficient, and helpful. It's always a pleasure to overnight here.

Also to note, the hotel is in an old castle style building which adds a great feeling to it and is quite impressive. Amazing place and hotel! Totally recommend it
