One of the best hotels.we have stayed in our 18 days in Germany. Rooms are spacious and cosy. Staff is helpful. We have experienced a fair share of racism in Germany hospitality. Best western stands out in this aspect as the behavior is consistent among all staff, friendly and polite regardless of race or language.

The bonus was, free laundry in the hotel though they charged a small fee 0.70 Euro for the detergent. We had problem with the washing machine due to language barrier and the staff came and explained how it worked. She even apologised for not having English instructions.

The training is well done and I will highly recommend the hotel for a comfortable stay.

Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Excellent English which helped with our broken German, lol. Hotel and room were exceptionally clean.
Our room, 332, was quiet and right next to the free guest laundry. The room has a/c, but don’t expect cooling like in the USA. It was 85°F during the day and 60°F at night when we were there. The a/c is just enough to keep the heat at bay, but it is not cold. We are used to Texas summers and we were comfortable.
Our son slept on the sofa bed (full size) and it was just as comfortable as our bed. There is also an electric kettle. No washcloths (common in Germany), so bring that if you use them.
Parking is secure and approx 18€ per day. Recommend a vehicle no larger than compact SUV for ease of parking.
Free WiFi with a fast connection.
The location is a 7-10 min walk to the Altes Rathaus and Old Town Bamberg. Perfect location in a safe area. We would 100% stay here again. Highly recommend.

I stopped here for 5 nights in May at a cost of £420, via trip.com (room only) and so I think this is very good value for money.
Overall the hotel is good and the staff are friendly and helpful. The room had a modern bathroom with a powerful walk-in shower. However, other aspects of the room suggest that they are in need of some updating e.g. there are no USB charging points. I was also irritated by the fact that I had a double bed but only a single size quilt.

You get what you pay for here, basic room to stay in in the heart of Bamberg; it was pretty much equal walking distance to the train station and the old town.

Staff were not the friendliest but, again, this was really a great value and no worries on our part.

Good hotel for a few nights. Only (small) downsides are the complete non-availability of cell phone reception while I was there and a WiFi network that oscillated from amazing to non existend and demanded a new login every few hours, making me miss a few important messages and calls.

Check-in was a bit of a hassle, but did get done after coming down a bit later. Check-out was fast and friendly.

Liked the bed, could have used a bit better pillow, but that's OK. Shower good (pressure and comfortable bathroom), and more than enough power outlets, even some that stay on after you remove your card from the reader.

All in all, slightly on the upper end of acceptable pricing but comfortable and at a very good location.

Had a wonderful four night stay at the Best Western. I wasn’t expecting much but the rooms were spacious, the service excellent and very close to the old town and station make this hotel a must if you are coming to Bamberg. Also complimentary coffee and tea in the lobby and free wifi
