Where to stay in Bamberg

The location is peaceful and the view to the river is beautiful. Rooms: The bathrooms are starting to show their age. Also the floors or the wall-to-wall carpets seem worn-out. Otherwise, the rooms are rather okey. Compared to hotels with similar prising, rooms are quite old. Service: The breakfast is good and has a sufficient number of options. The cleaning and service worked well.

It's a good hotel, some 15 minutes outside of the main attravtions area.

You get what you pay for here, basic room to stay in in the heart of Bamberg; it was pretty much equal walking distance to the train station and the old town. Staff were not the friendliest but, again, this was really a great value and no worries on our part.

Extremely economical and very close to the station. The facilities are super basic, which is perfect for minimalist business travelers.

Good environment and good service

I had a nice stay with my family here. The rooms were basic but comfortable and the location was very accessible. Parking was easy and safe. The room came with a single soap for hands/body/hair, but its Ibis so I wasn’t expecting very much anyway. Glasses for brushing teeth were available near the reception if you need them. Overall, it’s good enough for a short stay.

A great choice for staying in Hamburg but outside of the historic city center. You can easily access the historic center via the bus stop located directly across the street which runs are fairly reliable intervals and, in turn, grants you walking access to a wide variety of amazing German restaurants, pubs, and shops.

The place is really cool and cozy, but there is no air conditioning (there is a portable fan instead) and the pillow (from an italian point of view) is not confortable. The car and bike parking are very well appreciated, as well as the shower.

Room was refurbished and fresh but without AC. However there are fans to borrow if needed. Breakfast for 7 Euros per person was OK. Nice and helpful staff. The Hotel lies just a 10 min walk from the city centre.

The proprietor sent messages in a timely manner and met us at reception even though it was past check in time and made accommodations for us. The hotel is located deep within the city but not far from breweries, eateries, and local shopping. The building is narrowed in space but durable. Getting to your floors can be tricky but the staff can help with that. The staff is not 24/7. Nice small hotel with comfortable rooms, big beds and comfortable bathroom with fan. Breakfast is very good and tasty. Close to dam on river. You can't reach it with car, only by walk. Entrance in some rooms is funny i.e. entrance for room 30x is from door around corner or from reception take lift to 2nd floor and go down stairs to the 0 level.

We stay in a simple room , share toilet & shower room with whole floor, no kettle in room , hotel area is abit far from city centre , bus comes and goes every hour takes only 20mins to city centre but end early. parking is free and having enough of free parking area.
