I went last June 2024 for a dinner, but I never eat due of very rude behaviour of the waitress who lost time to chats by there ignoring me and my wife...so when finally we were able to take our order the waiter said that the dish was not available thus we chosen another dish but she back to us saying the kitchen is closed! We were there at 8pm one more hour before!!! I don't recommend this restaurant to no one.

Honestly we have been three times, each time returning because we thought the rude waitress has changed, nope. Just the same one. Don’t recommend. Take your money and go somewhere else. It’s a German menu so you can find that food elsewhere. And with better service and people who actually are happy to have business.

This hotel -in the center of the Unesco world heritage city of Bamberg- is located in the old city center 2 minutes from the iconic town hall. Although an old (medieval) building, the rooms are of this time, bathroom, beds (although one can differ in opinion about that) are nothing to complain about, fine. Excellent breakfast (included). Very good restaurant and extremely friendly staff. What more could one want?

This was the worse customer service I have ever experienced. The woman running the front desk and those managing the breakfast made us feel like we were very unwelcomed. We were greeted with shortness and any attempt to ask a question (using google translator, we did not expect people to speak English to us) resulted in what seemed like frank hostility.

As this was the middle of a long trip, we had a small amount of laundry to wash (mostly children's underwear, socks, shorts and shirts). I asked the front desk multiple times how much it would cost, and she told me "I can't tell you." On the second day, as we found no other close alternative, I brought down a small bag (enough to fill a very small sized laundry basket) and asked again. The woman and the front pointed to the ground and told me "there." Again, I could not get a price, even with the laundry in front of us. Much to my shock, we were charged 167 euros on check out for this. When I asked why she hadn't told me roughly how expensive it would be, she began yelling at me until I left. After checking out, I had a lengthy email exchange with the hotel. IN one email they sent me photo of a pricing list that clearly existed somewhere but was never offered when I asked. They promised to refund a very small nominal fee but that was never acted upon despite multiple follow up emails.

As for location, that is great. The room was large, but without a fan or air conditioner (typical and not expected). However, because of the great location, it was quite noisy with the windows open.

In all, this was truly the worst hotel experience I have had in all my travels throughout 40+ countries. It was unclear if hostile customer experience was based on where we were traveling from, because we had a child with us (a quiet 9 year old), or the norm for the hotel.

The rooms are very clean, small and simple. The TV didn't work, but I didn't care or complain. The service was outstanding, despite my limited German language skills. The breakfast was fantastic. The location was perfect. The food was fantastic as well. If you are in Bamberg for sightseeing, this is a great place to stay. I recommend it highly. Free breakfast, nearby parking, central location and within walking distance of the whole city.

On Pentecost, we were with a small group in Bamberg, Germany and lived in the Hotel, brother mill. We felt, without exception, very comfortable and enjoyed our stay. The historic house has small rooms and bathrooms, but is decorated with much attention to Detail very tastefully. Hygiene and cleanliness were impeccable. The rooms on the Regnitz river, offering great views of the river and the old town hall.
The Hotel is centrally located in the beautiful Bamberg's old town. On foot everything is accessible, so that the cars in the slightly remote could remain in the garage.
Twice we have eaten in the Hotel and were with the price-performance ratio very satisfied. In the evening the Hotel invited to sit together. We were always well served, especially by Anita - thank you for that.
Conclusion: We come very gladly again and would recommend this Hotel at any time.

Perfect location by the river, each dish was delicious with small attention to detail given and very nice service.

The food is OK, but relatively expensive and clear portions. A smoke beer (0.5 Liter) with 3,80 Euro, about 1 Euro more expensive than directly from Schlenkerla.
