Hotel Zur Alten Oder Frankfurt in Frankfort on the Oder

There was no electric kettle in the room to make some tea, besides that the rooms are good quality with nice bed. Although the curtains leave huge gaps on both sides so it doesn't get dark in the room. The breakfast is fine but €16 is to much for what you get. There was also problems with paying by card. Overal a medium experience.

I had a really bad experience with the hotel. When I came to the hotel one of the employees asked me if I could help them with cleaning dishes. It was so inappropriate that at first I was so in shock snd agreed to help. It was later when I realised that he probably assumed that if I’m from Poland I’m must be a blue collar worker. He seemed to be really surprised when to his question about ny job I told him that I’ve never worked in gastronomy and in fact that I’m an academic. It’s a bit of a pity that people still use this kind of stereotypes…
Apart from that I have to admit that the hotel offers a very good quality of the accommodation. But because of my personal experience I will not recommend it to others.

In addition:
I came to the hotel before check-in, true. But it was after 12am, not like the owner wrote, before 11am. I didn’t demand earlier check-in. I simply asked about it. The owner also skipped the information about my second question that concerned the possibility of leaving my luggage at the hotel without earlier check-in.
