Holiday Inn - the niu, Dwarf Berlin Schöneberg by IHG in Berlin

Clean hotel at a good location.

Employee flew into a rage when i told him i parked my car at the garage and wanted to pay when leaving.

Having your car parked at the day of check out is only possible until 2 pm.

I've stayed here many times but only because I have to due to my work.
The rooms are fine but overpriced. But clean, tidy and modern although the weird wallpaper bathroom I don't get...

Breakfast is decent enough and teh staff there are pleasant. However, the same can't be said about the reception staff.

Everytime I've stayed here, I receive no greeting but just a surly employee who doesn't say much and doesn't look like they want to be there. As a first impression of a hotel, it's not a good one, and keeps happening again and again. Maybe it's a German thing, maybe it's because I'm English, who knows...

On this latest visit, I went to buy some chocolate and told to pay at the bar. The server was extremely slow and then when I came to pay, he asked card or cash? I live in London so I never have any cash on me now. When I said card, he laughed... the asked if I had cash and I said no. He then got disgruntled at that and said, ore paper, more paper. I mean, a) I wasn't that despaerate for it so was fine to walk away and b) a hotel staff member should not bemaking guets feel bad for paying by their preferred method, especially whe given the choice.

The last tiume I was here, the same barman was inebreated when serving. Not a good look all round.

So overall, not bad but not great and coul do better quite easily with bit more effort.
